Though not one of the best ones, it's a good hour

Warning: Spoilers
Omar Hassan just about survived the attack initiated on him while on his way from the White House. Despite this, the danger is not over, and nuclear rods are getting transported to the US. Renee Walker is reinstated to the CTU and is asked to go on another undercover mission, much to Jack's worry.

This is one of those entries that's heavily dialogue based. And we get some good stuff with Jack being concerned for Renee's safety and Omar trying to keep a leveled head during all this madness. It's sad how Jack *still* can't get on that damn plane to L.A. no matter how much he wants to. Hastings is still an asshole, but at least this time he admits Chloe was right. It annoys me how there are so many characters in this series who don't trust those who are the highest skilled and have saved the most amount of lives. Given how thickheaded Hastings acted it was LUCKY Omar got saved. Some good tension builds up with Omar getting closer to his final plan being realized. Jürgen Prochnow makes a good first impression as the nuclear arms holder Sergei.

Now, here are my issues with this episode: although it doesn't keep things at a standstill, it moves through its scenes a bit slowly. Not to the point where you lose interest, but you're waiting for them to get on with it. Another problem that many seem to agree with is the stalker storyline. Not only is it completely irrelevant to the main plot, but it's annoying. It's hard to care about Dana since you can't understand why she doesn't just call the police already, and the stalker gets the most clichéd "I'm so creepy and stalkery" lines imaginable. Unless this leads up to something important, it might as well be dropped entirely.

Nevertheless, although it does lose a little of the momentum, it's still classic 24. And it's great to see Jack and Renee working again.

She's Nuts!!

Renee Walker is back at the behest of CTU. She and Jack are undercover, going after the Russian mob. More is revealed about the plot to kill the foreign President. Renee is off her rocker and a total loose cannon. Her last few years have been anything but calm. Once again, the airwaves are filled with that prison jerk and the CTU analyst. This is all very gripping and now nuclear weapons have been thrown into the mix. Good show.
