I was surprised to see this having been rated about 6. This is a solid crime thriller. Everybody has done a very good job in terms of acting and the screenplay keeps you hooked. I watched all 10 episodes in one go so i was probably at an advantage. Its smart, its suspenseful and all the main characters have been developed nicely. Binge worthy.

This show is not perfect by any means but (so far) it knows what it is and it has with its two female leads. They are the draw. And I also really like that the show has gone all in with Doak. Yes this has Blacklist written all over it but Blacklist was a fun show for the first couple of seasons and I know people HATED Liz but when the show revolved around the relationship between Red and Liz it was often at its best. Elena and Val are gold in this and I think the writers are at least smart enough to know keeping them in the same sphere is the smart thing to do and so far they aren't writing Val as an idiot so Elena can get away with some crazy big level thing that makes no sense anyway. I think the story itself is an interesting one. Elena is a gangster, who wants her family back, going up against Elon Musk level crime lords who own governments and the only person she can trust is Val who is honest enough to put her own husband in prison but smart enough to see the big picture when things go sideways.
If this gets renewed I am in for another season.

I'm not expecting high art from an NBC serial, I just want to feel like I'm okay with losing the hour it took to watch. So far I'm okay with The Endgame. A Russian crime boss who seems to be looking for revenge but might be working for a higher cause, leading a straight-arrow cop down a path of discovery. Corruption uncovered, vendettas fulfilled. It certainly does remind me of early Blacklist, with a little early Revenge thrown in.
I only hope they don't make the mistakes those two shows made, such as constantly stretching out the mystery until it's no longer interesting, or throwing in nonsensical twists just to keep things going. Let the story progress, let it grow and go where it needs - even if it leads to an end. They have good leads and a lot of potential. Fingers crossed.

It won me over by the end of the first season

It's fairly outlandish and I wasn't sure where it was going the first few episodes - but by halfway I was invested. By the end it won me over and I think it's fairly good. It's very good for these types of shows (like the Blacklist and the like). The two leads have very good chemistry - I think it's better than the leads on the Blacklist. All of the actors won me over by the end of the season - it's very well cast. I give it a 9 because I think it's very good for the type of show it is - it's not a great quality show compared with the best - by any means.

I like this way more then I thought that I would. I am hopeful for a season 2. If there is a season 2, I would like for them to step it up a bit as far as the action scenes are concerned (I feel like they don't have that big of a budget). I would also want to see more of a drama aspect.

I'm not sure why the low reviews that seem to be based on similarity to The Blacklist. I see the comparison but I thought this was different and intriguing. Great cast, pro production, potentially exciting story... and all stories are derivative if you've seen a similar idea, so no points off for that. Morena is always excellent but the role of the queen really seems to fit her. I'm in.
Worth a watch for a while.

I m enjoying this so far. Is it great, no, but not as bad as so many others. Many keep comparing this to The Blacklist, but I don't really see this. For some reason, I keep thinking about The Following when I watch this show. She is charismatic like the cult leader, clever and seems to have her followers. I'm looking forward to seeing where this show goes.

So, most of the time I tend to lean towards agreeing with bad reviews on shows. Not this time.
This show is freakin amazing and had me hooked from like ten minutes into the first episode. Do I like the FBI chick? Not at all. Is it one of those shows you want the "bad guy" to win? Absofreakinglutely.
I don't understand the bad reviews, I really don't. The show is compelling, fast-paced, great acting with the exception of the FBI chick, and satisfying. Satisfying? Yes. Satisfying. Freaking watch it because if I don't get a season 2 cuz of inaccurate and crappy reviews, we're gonna have words. :D.

While the similarity with The Blacklist cannot be understated or even unwarranted. I have to say Morena Baccarin's presence on screen is worth the 2-4 episodes worth of rope I'm willing to give this show.
Let's see where it goes and right now I cannot wait to hear another story from Elena Federova.

For those of you who think that this is a female "Blacklist" you're wrong. Elena Federova is captured and brought to a black site for questioning. In the meantime seven different banks are robbed by military precision motives unknown. Ms. Federova has begun her game of cat and mouse. It seems every scenario. Results into wrong doings by one of "the good guys" are brought to light thus taking out another criminal. What Ms. Federova endgame is who knows.
Her F. B. I. Counterpart. Val Turner seems to have Federova's respect. Turner herself wants to know what is what and despite some of her superiors misgivings she seems to be Federova's "Elizabeth Keene" to Raymond Redington. What would be interesting would be a Blacklist Endgame crossover..

Not very likely to come to the same standing positions of the best seasons of a 24 but it has the potential of becoming the next (The) Blacklist and gain a good following if it improves and sticks to landing as the season progresses. What makes really makes the series are the performances of Morena Baccarin and Ryan Michelle Bathe who are both excellent and their chemistry very intense and entertaining to watch on screen. What I believe would help the show going forward is managing tone, the premiere went one way - dark and serious, and in the other - a bit more tongue in cheek. The imbalance doesn't hurt the program, but it's there and could be handled better.
NBC has got to be careful with this one, they've dropped the ball on too many promising series to name.

I am on Episode 3 and I am enjoying this so far. It has a fast-paced story, never boring so far. I haven't watched blacklist but I know what's blacklist is all about, the first time I have watched the endgame, I was like "that sounds like blacklist from what I have heard" and apparently, people are saying the same.

Hey, let's cast a street wise black female lead with a laughable bad attitude and disgraceful people skills! Yeah, that's just like Blacklist?!? LOL! Nobody wants to see a "BLM in a box" series. White agents are ignorant. White female is a corrupt criminal mastermind. Black female is the hero helping out her man who was a "victim of the system"! So laughable. For 1 season! Surprised it got past the pilot. See ya, won't miss ya.

I love The Endgame and I CAN see where people might find a comparison with The Blacklist but that, in my opinion, doesn't really do this show justice. Twist after twist after twist may often give some viewers a whiplash sensation but it'll still leave you hanging on the the edge of your seat.
Think you know who the good guys are? The bad guys? Think you know what's coming next?
You don't.
Nothing is entirely black or white... and that's a good thing.
I, personally, would be aghast if there wasn't a second season but that being said, it wouldn't surprise me if 'the powers that be' fail to recognise the gem they have in this show.
I will say this - if you like the shows where you are spoon fed every little detail & where you can see eveything coming from a mile away, then this probably won't be for you.
But then again, that's just my opinion.

No idea where all these bad reviews come from, but, it is extremely annoying for people that really want correct reviews on Shows / Movies.
The endgame Pilot was truly satisfying to watch, the bank robbing and the overall story arc was enjoyable and I hope it carries on.
If you want a REAL review it's defiantly a 7/10 this far.

Really enjoyed the pilot episode. I know others are calling it a Blacklist knockoff, but I've never seen Blacklist. So don't really care about those comparisons.
For someone unfamiliar with Blacklist, I was impressed with the first episode. I also think the casting is pretty good. Morena Baccarin is always excellent. The female FBI agent is mostly convincing in an action/thriller sort of way. And the other minor characters seem well cast.
I'm interested to see where this goes for sure.

The show was great, no idea what some of the bad reviews are about, maybe they got kicked the show or something.
Had a blast watching, hope the rest of the season is great like the opening.

Morena Bacarrin is 100% the reason I started watching this. And 60% the reason I continue watching. (Firefly fan and I liked her in V as well)
All the actors playing fbi agents feel like this is their first big role. Script is extremely repetitive. If you like drinking games...take a drink every time they say coincidence. Smh
The show plays a lot like The Blacklist in it's feel. But this also rests the greatest difference. In the blacklist, lewd characters are menacing/huge/heroic because the plot and scenes show it. However this show is more like the new equalizer tv show. Where everyone talks about how tough someone is...but you never see it and never feel it. And this is what keeps a 7 or 8 show be a 5 or 6. Because It loses credibility.
A better script writer could bring it up another point. Currently there are near exact lines reused I'm every episode. In some episodes, repeated within the show.

The plot is good and fun, but the lady FBI agent is given too much credit too easily; she couldn't possibly and realistically be super smart and figure out a supposedly complicated and well studied plan in 10 minutes, I mean come on..
If the producers and the writers want to keep us watching, they need give the agent a difficult time to make her give in and unwillingly cooperate with the main player, and then slowly create a bond against all the rotten eggs; and they need to do that while keeping us on our toes...

Watched Ep. 1 and read lots of reviews comparing it to The Blacklist, which I kind of see, but I found it more like "Money Heist" where the criminal mastermind is a step ahead of the authorities. I'm not thrilled with some of the acting and some of the plot points are a bit over the top unbelievable (lazy writing). I'll watch more to see where it goes, but as a pilot I would not have given the green light.
Will be updating this review later.

I started to enjoy the first episode then realised the woke brigade had to spoil things again. All the real villains are white, all the good guys are black, really?
The few black villains are not really bad, just misled or doing the Robin Hood thing.
Then the acting followed the usual downward path, almost on a par with the puppets from Thunderbirds.
Do TV and Movie producers think we're all effing idiots that will sit and take this pap?

"The Endgame" (S01, 10-eps, 1-hr, NBC) is a better than avg network show from a pair of exec producers/writers with some decent shows in their past. Morena Baccarin as "The Queen" relished her manipulative role and it paid off. The pacing was pretty decent and who doesn't like to see the FBI led around by their nose instead of always being celebrated by other shows?! However, the formula of the show - neutralizing a govt figure each ep - wore thin mid-way through, so we skipped eps 5-7. But eps 8 and 9 delivered, with the season finale being surprisingly plausible with a not-Hollywood-happy-ending. Instead, we see a major character killed, one injured, and a pretty decent hook for a sophomore season. (Update: alas, it's been cancelled.)
