Tara goes back into danger
Tweekums30 November 2010
Warning: Spoilers
As the second season approaches is finale things are not looking good for the people of Bon Temps; most of the population are still being controlled by Maryann, Tara is begging to be allowed to return to rescue Eggs and Bill is trying to learn how to kill her from the Vampire Queen. Sam is still free at least and along with Jason and Officer Bellefleur they plan to help free the town from Maryann.

This episode sets things up nicely for the conclusion; ending with things looking bad for Sookie yet again. In the first season I was not keen on Ryan Kwanten's character, Jason Stackhouse, but he has developed to become one of the best characters in the show providing some excellent comic relief. While not the grizzliest episode there was some blood spilt and a rather shocking scene where we see that one of the possessed people has cut off one of her own fingers as part of a sacrifice.

Time for Action
claudio_carvalho2 November 2009
Bill visits the Queen that is feeding of femoral blood of a woman and asks her to tell how to kill a maenad and she tells that is not possible. Meanwhile Hoyt protects his mother and leaves Jessica. Tara wants to rescue Eggs, but Lafayette handcuffs her. However Lettie Mae forces him with a shotgun to release her daughter. Later Sookie dominates the old woman and together with Lafayete, they go after Tara. Sam tells Jason and Andy that he is a shape shifter. Jason and Andy decide to bring weapons from the Sheriff's office. Sam feeds Arlene's children and goes with them to Fangtasia. Sam has a conversation with Eric about maenad and asks the vampire to help him. Maryann tells Tara that she has summoned her through Jeannette in the woods, and possesses her again. The locals tell Maryann that the horny god had come and taken Sam and she punishes them. Maxime discloses cruel revelations to Hoyt about his father that was a burglar. Lafayette gives drugs to Arlene and Terry while Sookie breaks in her house seeking out Tara and sees bizarre people inside her house. But Maryann meets Lafayette that kills Karl but is possessed by the maenad. Bill asks the Queen to return to Bon Temps but she wants him to feed of human blood first. Then she tells how he might kill Maryann.

"Frenzy" is a good sequel of "New World In My View" despite some annoying moments. The Queen sequence is extremely silly and irritating and the unreasonable attitude of the unstable Lettie Mae and Tara is just a justification to bring the lead characters to Sookie's house. Jason and Andy together are also stupid but funny. My vote is seven.

Stumble but still great!
u2theedge7 September 2009
From the beginning true blood has become a drug itself. Every night i cant wait to come home and watch it. This episode wasn't the best episode but was still great. The town was in a frenzy. The writing was perfect as always. Eric and Bills confrontation was tenseful and you can see there is going to be a 3 way love triangle. Eric flying was the best part of the episode i think because i didn't expect it. I find Eric to be an interesting character with his secret love for sookie. Bill i find a tad boring but when i found out he was working for the queen it made me think why? i have never read a Charlene Harris novel before and I'm glad i haven't because the anticipation of waiting for the next episode gets me excited.

also whats up with the egg? lol

S2.E11 - Crazy [9/10]

Warning: Spoilers
(S2. E11) My Live Reaction / Review for True Blood Season 2 Episode 11 ''Frenzy''. Episode 10 was good and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Maryann has become the main villain of this season, I wonder if anyone is able to kill her. Tara thinks she can save Eggs? That will be impossible with Maryann around. The sheriff dancing was funny. It was such a dumb decision to let Tara go back to Maryann. Eric can fly? I thought vampires cant fly? What's going on? Is Maryann bulletproof? Jason and Andy are such a fun duo. Maryann keeps winning. Overall this episode was pretty good, my rating is 9/10.

Yahtzee!!

Warning: Spoilers
Jessica bites Maxine; Hoyt is angry; Maxine seemed oddly satisfied with having been bitten.

Sophie-Anne: "You know what your problem is, William? You...are a snob. I HATE snobs. Tiny, tiny souls. Or penises. Or both." "Never underestimate the power of blind faith." "I haven't enjoyed sex with men since the Eisenhower administration". "I love watching two men together". (OK...now how can you NOT like Sophie-Anne right off the bat?)

Jason: "Well...sometimes you need to destroy somethin to save it. That's in the Bible. Or the Constitution." And... "You think Sam could turn into a chicken and lay his own egg?"

Maryanne reveals that it was actually Tara who summoned her when she was in the woods with the fake exorcist.

Hoyt finds out that his father shot himself in the head; he wasn't killed by a burglar. His mother only said that so they could collect the insurance money.

Bill travels to see The Queen (Sophie-Anne) and gets some important information about Maryann. (She's looking for the perfect more-than-human sacrifice to summon a god that exists but doesn't come forth, and Sam, being a shape shifter appears to Maryann to be the perfect sacrifice.) Bill sees Eric (who's there at the request of Sam) on the way out and threatens to tell The Queen that Eric is forcing humans to sell vampire blood if he ever comes close to Sookie again.

The rest of the episode...a lot of filler with Andy & Jason getting guns from the police station, and Sookie & Lafayette dealing with Tara.

In the end...Eggs give new meaning to eggs. Sookie escapes Mike Spencer's sexual overtures by smacking him in the head with a frying pan. And Lafayette's got that black-eyed look in his eye.

One of the most frazzled episodes so far, IMO. And clearly one of my least favorite ones -- especially considering it's the last one before the season finale.

Worst True Blood episode ever!
airyns30 August 2009
'Frenzy' was the worst episode I have ever seen. The directing was laughable - the writing elementary - and the acting? The Queen was horrible! I couldn't believe what a terrible actress she was -- so I came here to see if she was like the daughter of the director or something. It was Evan Rachel Wood - ugh - why is she famous - she is bad bad bad. My only thought is that perhaps this was an episode to try and get new people interested in the series -- this could be why they explained things like soap opera characters do. Definitely had to be different director and writer than previous True Blood episodes because this show is usually brilliant - but this mess was not.
