There's More To Laughter Than Just Meets The Ear
strong-122-4788856 December 2016
Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!.... Whether it's natural, or whether it's manufactured - When it comes to the likes of laughter (be it chuckling, giggling, snickering, tittering, or whatever) - You can be sure that any form of this type of expression is, indeed, often the best medicine.

In this informative and often-amusing documentary about laughter - We join Canadian writer/director, Albert Nerenberg as he travels the world in order to learn all about the history (as well as the art) of - What else, but? - Laughter.

And what Nerenberg discovers about laughter is that (sometimes) it's no laughing matter. I mean, you don't have to be drunk or stoned to enjoy a good, old belly-laugh once-in-a-while.

So, if laughter is something that seems to be missing from your life - Just sit back, relax, and let this laugh-filled documentary teach you all about the rewarding benefits of "laughter therapy" - Where laugh-gurus believe that the deliberate suppression of laughter can be even more harmful than you ever imagined.

So, laugh-it-up, folks - You only live once.

Breakthrough film on the nature of laughter.
lol-829-95213827 August 2010
I was expecting a comedy but I got something else in a good way. Funny, but more importantly reveals something new. Aside from the comic elements, this film is a breakthrough in term of the understanding of laughter versus humor. Laughter really is "hiding in plain sight" as the film suggests. Since seeing Laugology I find I really notice laughter everywhere. Was really affect by this film. Also, one of the few films you will see that makes you feel good. Really. It's a feel good movie. Literally. You actually feel your body chemistry change as you watch. One of the Neuroscientists mentions that laughter is a bad mood override. An interesting idea would be to come home in a bad mood and then watch Laughology. I bet you'll feel different. That's my take.
