Crazy grandmas go brrrrr

It was a good movie overall, some plot holes here and there, a little predictable, but entertaining and very nice casting.

Yikes!
Valid_ID29 September 2021
This TV movie seems to be an exerpt from a daytime soap opera: female characters wearing over-the-top makeup, inane scenario of family troubles, artificial dialogue. The acting is terrible as well.

Only those who enjoy watching "Days of our lives" are likely to enjoy this terrible movie. For the rest of us is a waste of time.

Cool, I like these "quilty pleasure" thrillers, spend time uncompromisingly...

Joyce Hollingsworth is an ambitious businesswoman who will do anything to protect her cosmetics company's reputation. Joyce discovers that her teenage daughter Katherine is pregnant by her boyfriend Chuck. Joyce wants Katherine to hide her pregnancy from everyone and arranges for the baby to be adopted. Twenty years later, however, the family secret threatens to be revealed.

Another Lifetime marathon, in that convenient and predictable, quirky, suspenseful style, at times superficial, like the "good" movies made directly for TV, at one point even the score made me laugh, like mexican drama over, weird, simple script , cliché and predictable... Cool, I like these "quilty pleasure" thrillers, spend time uncompromisingly...

Dreadful tv movie
elisaa-632975 June 2022
This is one of the worst movies I've ever watched. Storyline is ridiculous as is the acting and makeup. The actress who played the Grandmother/mother who is she? She acted like the Wicked Witch of the West, completely unbelievable character.

LMN Fans A Mother's Lie (Never Spoilers)

My LMN/Lifetime reviews are for fans of these channels and their movies. However, we're all free to perceive and review things differently.

Unique plot. Entertaining. I like the twists.

I don't know what else to say, every review doesn't need 150 characters.

Worth watching! Enjoy!

Warning: Spoilers
What a stupid movie. I feel bad for the actors involved, they did what they could.

Really don't know why I keep watching lifetime movies

The story was not believable even by stretching you're suspension of belief by a mile.

Anyone and I mean anyone knew how this would end. No suspense no oh my goodness what a shock in this

Movie at all!

Couple of WTF moments for you.

Locked in a creepy house get the door unlocked run correct? Nope let's pack our suitcases while evil lurks.

Scared, confused? Lets drink some spiked tea.

Nurse falls downstairs right after arguing with crazy granny. Suspicious ? Naw.

This movie is not worth your time.

Sorry to write I think this is the end of the road for lifetime movies for me.

What is this
pumping_iron-19 March 2022
Bad acting. Tired, weird, boring storyline. The storyline was all over the place. This was one of the worse of the worse LMN movies. I got through about 30 minutes of this. I think I watched for that long because I couldn't determine what role grandmother was trying to play. But it was not interesting enough for me to stay any longer to find out. Just weird.

Pure Evil!
haroot_azarian2 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I must admit Sonja Smits did a good job of playing the heartless ambitious pure evil mother/grandmother! This was one of the rare pretty good LMN thrillers! Joyce got what she deserved! I recommend this one!

It's not that bad

Warning: Spoilers
I thought the movie did a lot of things well: Psycho granny wasn't a ham or over the top caricature. Katherine and Chuck surviving as a couple after everything Granny threw at them. Hayley and Libby actually looked like sisters. I'm very glad the movie allowed Chuck to be mad at Kate for lying to him about their first child. Sometimes you just don't know with Lifetime and how they'll portray husbands. I'm glad to the movie didn't allow her to blame her mother 100 percent without being called on her part in it.

The story itself wasn't too complicated as long as you realize Hayley is sick. I think the first time I watched, I missed that part or how severe it was, but her illness is what drives the whole movie. I thought the movie was subtle in how it all came together with Libby's boyfriend and Libby piecing things together. I feel like Chuck and Kate should have asked more questions about the donor, but I can also see how they would trust Gran to handle it. But I'd like to meet the person who saved my child's life.

There was simply no reason for this movie to have a body count. That was very unnecessary. I understand societal shame or whatever, but really Granny? The two people she murdered weren't just randos, so how did she expect to get away with it? And then attacking her daughter? What in the world? In this regard, she was over the top. And she was such a good and brazen liar claiming the baby died anyway, I don't see how murder to keep the secret was needed.

The scene at the end with the reunited family was very sweet. I believed that they were a family. It was also nice to see an abandoned daughter not be the psycho in any capacity.

I absolutely HATE that Grandma got away. Assuming that the scene at the end wasn't just her working through someone. She killed two people and Katherine clearly connected the dots with Amber's death on the stairs. How did she get away at the end? That was the wrong ending for this movie. Thankfully it didn't ruin it, but I still didn't like it.
