Strong & Bold Movie (you rarely get to watch in Telugu)
anuragvijay-1288729 June 2020
Realistic Movie with Strong & Bold Dialogues, Extrem Performance by Raviteja,

We can see the Dark side of Film Industry. The Plot is all about - How a Young, Enthusiastic & Aspiring filmmaker wants to grow in his career ? STRONG POINTS - Dialogues, Performance of Actors & Direction. WEAK POINTS - Songs.

An Honest and Touching film about TFI
aditya198921 December 2011
I had watched this movie on DVD (It hardly ran in theaters) and it is now among my favorite Telugu movies.

Despite this being a very realistic and well made movie, it had very poor critic rating. Now, of course they would bash this movie, the director Puri Jagannath had criticized the (so called) Telugu movie reviewers. Please whoever is reading this do not read those useless reviews and miss out this fantastic movie.

Puri Jagannath gives an honest portrayal (probably semi-autobiographical) of an aspiring director (or any other technician) in the Telugu film industry. Despite facing many a hardship to get a footing in the industry, the sheer passion and love for movies that drives these guys is amazing. That is captured very well in the movie.

Ravi Teja is probably the right guy to play the lead, having struggled a lot to reach the position he is in today. I would rate this as his best ever performance.Sayaji Shinde as a producer, Subbaraju as the hero and Sairam Shankar as the fans association president were very good as well. The others played their part well too.

If you want to watch a very realistic, hard hitting movie on the working s of the Telugu Film Industry, this is the movie to watch.

How is this rated so highly?

Puri Jagannadh did something which was way ahead of its time with this film- he made a film that was written by AI since no human can write such a trite story. If someone asks you to give an example of an illogical film, you can point him to this film without any iota of doubt. This film is centred around the film industry itself, and that is where its cleverness ends. It is nothing but a bunch of random scenes put together with very thin connective tissue around it. In every next scene, it jumps to a different topic, and then quickly forgets it in the next one. The film comments on the various issues inside the film industry but those are fleeting because the film itself doesn't remember about them after the end of that scene. There is a subplot of the protagonist's mom suffering from a terminal illness, and it's sidelined as quickly as you throw your napkin after using it, and is given a similar level of respect too. It's a film directed by Puri Jagannadh, and his films can't be made without a generous dose of misogyny, and this film is no exception. It's exactly the kind of film that is stupid but thinks of itself as a clever one. The narration has no coherence, the characters are inconsistent, the plot is terrible and the direction is as competent as its plot. NENINTHE is a senseless and lifeless movie with a stupid plot, extremely convenient and corny writing, a tiring pace and tedious runtime.

Once upon a time in Tollywood
Its similar to "Once upon a time in Hollywood" but the twist is it is Tollywood. Its Puri sir loveletter to cinema makers , cinema goers fans and their obsessions and also personal lives of film maniacs.( Being, Indian film its underated in India while " Outih " was hit in India )
