Always protect your password......

Brannick and Olivia make a pact, and set to work together outside of The Police, their aim is seemingly to get hold of the gold.

This was an improvement over the first two episodes, quite a big improvement, but I have to start with one or two minor frustrations first. Is nobody suspicious of Tom, at all? His body language and general behaviour are ultra suspicious, and secondly Boyd's password, are you joking me, no encryption? That was lazy writing.

The Goliath line does have my interest, and it does manage to link in some of the events from series one.

Victoria Smurfit is excellent as Olivia once again, excellent performance from her, I loved her scenes with Nesbitt, the chemistry comes over very strongly. Visually, she looks great too, that funeral outfit was a little funny, like a black widow from a cartoon.

Flawed, but best one so far, 7/10.

Warning: Spoilers
It seems the police are not taught how to input a password without checking anyone is looking over your shoulder. It makes the show so frustrating.

DCI Tom Brannick clocks Birdy's password and uses it to look for Foyle's car. It will Birdy who will get the blame for unauthorised access.

There is sexual tension between Brannick and Olivia Foyle. Both are also after the gold and will easily betray or kill each other for it.

It is just that the real owners of the gold have been unearthed after Branning found a woman who was the armourer for the IRA.

An Irish American crime family brings the FBI into play. This could spell trouble for Branning.

There is also a suspicion in the police in the shape of DS Niamh McGovern that Goliath is still alive.

The series needs to turn its attention to Goliath, so far it is all about the gold and Branning so easily getting away with things.
