Simple but well made documentary on a small traditional football (soccer) team from Ribeirão Preto town (Botafogo FC, not the same Botafogo from Rio de Janeiro where Garrincha played) that had a surprising performance in 1977 Paulista chanpionship. The documentary, with good interviews and archive footage, explores well the issue that most players were outcasts, dismissed in their former clubs, and that with them there were in that squad two top level players: Zé Mário, who died early in the following year, and then young Sócrates, a unique character in sports. Sócrates, who became a celebrity from Brazilian national team, was still sudying medicine and was much more politicized than his colleagues. Althoimugh there was not much to show, the film is so successful that thenoutcome is interesting and amusing.
