COME ON BALL
vptmnz9 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So where to start

First of the bat is the presenter Ian Write

Lovely bloke but not made for Saturday night tele, a poor script and an even poorer 'game' make it impossible for him to build suspense

The Game itself sees contestants try to bank money by dropping a ball from a launcher onto an amount of cash. The money up for grabs continues to climb but so does the pressure as one final ball needs to be played - the Moneyball - that could see a player leaving with their hard-earned prize or going home with nothing.

With a catchphrase of 'COME ON BALL' that should tell you everything

3/10 for me.

I feel uncomfortable :(

This new game show is giving me really horrible vibes and flashbacks of Family Fracas (and I guess the entire episode of Bob's Burgers itself), and it's making me feel incredibly uncomfortable. It's not a nice feeling.

Moneyball

It's hard to create a successful game show.

This is a prime example.

I'm actually disappointed that Ian Wright chose to do this show in the first place. He was making such great strides towards being a serious (albeit more humorous) broadcaster, and then he pops up doing rubbish like this. He's back in the 'court jester' mode that he's said in his books he wants to get away from.

This isn't a good game show, and seems to think it's a darn sight better than it actually is.

The only good thing about it is that Wright has good interaction with the contestants that feels natural and unforced (hi Danny Dyer).

Poor.

Disappointed

Was hoping for much better things from this new gameshow and as it was being presented by Ian Wright I was hoping for even more, Ian is made for hosting gameshows he has really great presentation and a massive ego! Ideally suited for gameshows but he'd be better off hosting something else this show is no good for him or anyone else for that matter, its long winded, drawn out, and boring to watch, must have cost a fortune to make the set. Ian needs to join Deon on Homes under the hammer what a show that would be and like homes under the hammer Ian will still be on tv in 20 plus years time itv isn't the place to be.

Not great

Weak game show and weak presenter, the contestants all seem uncomfortable, the game it self is not great, can't understand why it is shown on a Saturday night prime slot.
