A painful documentary to see
pdlhw14 December 2011
This documentary is pretty painful to see. It is hard to believe how long took to the UN to create an International Court to judge the genocide from the killing in Ruanda on 1994. The movie tells the story of the Argentinean judge Ines Weimberg de Roca and how the court started to investigate the genocide. At the beginning, not too much is said about Ruanda, but later it becomes more and more interesting. Plenty of interviews to the survivors, accused, lawyers and the judge Weimberg de Roca it is possible to follow how the facts were. Director Vanessa Ragone did a good work showing in this short documentary the mixed feelings from a broken society.
