An adaptation of Laura Lippman's 2019 novel, Lady in the Lake.
Production was temporarily halted in August 2022 after threats of violence were received. A group of locals contacted producers, who were working a shoot on Park Avenue, in the downtown area of Baltimore. The group threatened to return in the evening to shoot somebody if production did not cease. Producers were also told to pay a sum of $50,000 to the group before production would be allowed to continue. They of course, did not pay, and production resumed with increased security measures.
Set in 1960s Baltimore.
