Where was Croatia?

I love Eurovision so much but I feel so bad for Albina who was not in the final this year! And that bland dated dirge from Norway was? Europe confuses me sometimes I won't lie.

San Marino deserved better as well, but it was good to see them in the final again! Hopefully they become a powerhouse in Eurovision soon.

One of the best parts was Moldova's performance. Natalia Gordienko carried the entire show and outsold with her 'EUROOOPE OOOOW' and the 17 second note. She may be the most talented Eurovision contestant ever.

I would give this 10/10 if it weren't for Amanda Holden. The Un*ted K*ngdom sends a spokesperson like her and then wonder why they always do so bad? Catch yourself on!

Anyway well done to Italy and I hope to see Elodie di Patrizi host next year!

Absolutely incredible. Too many good songs. The visuals are amazing. Congratulations to the Dutch people for this wonderful show they made.

One big party, like it was 2019..

With all the extreme measures for Covid-19, the Dutch organization has succeeded in creating an enormous show and of the 20.000+ tests only contain the 'damage' to 10 infections.. of which unfortunately some were from the Icelandic delegation. The show featured 3 episodes, semi-final 1, semi-final 2 and the Grand Final. There was a lot of variation in music styles and Italy blew everyone away with their authentic and rock'n'roll vibe! It was such a great showcase to getting back to 'normal' life and that European music is still improving every year.

After a year without ESC we are back. This is not the 1st time ESC got lost, as ESC reels got lost decades ago and was not found. You have funny songs like the German ones, serious songs from Italy and Bulgaria, ethnic songs from countries like Azerbaijan, a Hoodwinked like roller coaster song from Ukraine and an 80s like tune from Denmark. That all came out in the National Finals in the Winter so here is something for everyone. With of course covid, battles in the Middle East and loss of festivals across the globe you get 3 hours of mindless entertainment with surprising all stars as guests like Lordi. Now go watch this competition on Youtube, or the many reacts to ESC 2021 songs as the National Finals hype begins this Xmas and that´s a long but worth wait.

Wonderful that it is finally back!

So many amazing songs. Wow. Didnt know I missed it so much.

El Diablo is my absolute favorite but I mean Tix, Matahari, the list can go on... Cant wait for the 2022 eurovision song contest.

An American's review of Eurovision 2021

This was the first year I watched Eurovision from start to finish because it was the first year it streamed live in the US (on Peacock). I must say that it was the most entertaining televised event I've ever watched.

I studied French as an academic minor and I loved how two of the entries were in French and how San Marino gave their results in French. However, I thought the two French-language entries were underwhelming, especially compared to the French-language Eurovision winner "Ne partez pas sans moi" by Céline Dion.

The Israeli entry for 2021 was good, but I prayed for the apartheid state of Israel not to win so I wouldn't have had to boycott Eurovision next year. My favorite entry that made it to the finals was the Cypriot entry, "El Diablo" by Elena Tsagrinou. The Croatian entry, "Tick-Tock" by Albina, should have made it to the finals.

It's very easy to see why Eurovision is so popular and why 183 million people watched it this year.
