Meet the Sun
claudio_carvalho31 October 2009
Sookie does not change her decision of going to the Light of the Day, and Isabel brings her beloved human Hugo to go with Sookie. She reads his mind and realizes that he is indeed in love for Isabel and is a trustful man. They pretend to be engaged and looking for a church to the wedding, but they do not lure Steve. Eric brings Lorena to the Hotel Carmilla to force the separation of Bill and Sookie. She recalls her life with Bill in 1926 in Chicago, when he was an evil vampire. Jason and Luke are invited to build a platform with a cross for the ceremony "Meet the Sun", when a vampire is exposed to be burnt by the sun. Later, Sarah tells Jason that Steve is lying and he actually intends to use the "Soldiers of the Sun" to star a war. The old heater of Sookie's house has a problem and Tara travels with Eggs in Maryann's Jaguar to buy a part; while in the road, Eggs sees a building and he recalls that he has already been in that place. Daphne and Sam are walking through the woods and Sam has a dreadful surprise.

This show is probably the best of this season. The intentions of Maryann will be finally disclosed, and Sam is really in danger. Sookie and Hugo are imprisoned in the church and Bill is apparently powerless to save his beloved human. This episode ended in a climax and a hope the sequel resolves all these situations. My vote is eight.

Dangers for Sam and Sookie
Tweekums29 October 2010
Warning: Spoilers
As this episode starts Sookie and Bill are still in Dallas but soon she is on her way to the Church of the Sun with Hugo, a man who is pretending to be her fiancé when they get there things don't go according to plan when the pastor takes them captive. Bill meanwhile is getting reacquainted with the vampire who made him. Back in Bon Temps Maryann is getting worked up over the lack of hot water so sends Tara and eggs to get the part needed for the boiler. On the way Eggs gets a sense of déjà vu, stops the car and walks into the forest, here he and Tera discover what appears to be some sort of strange sacrificial altar. Understandable freaked out they return home where they are shocked to find an orgy taking place in the back yard. It looks as if things are going well for Sam; he has found love with Daphne, a fellow shape-shifter… things aren't always what they seem however!

This was an exciting episode and for the first time in a while it looks like Sookie might be in real danger, not as much danger as Sam though. Sam Trammell and Ashley Jones did well as Sam and Daphne; there is a real on screen chemistry between them. I was really shocked by the revelation at the end while I was sure Maryann was up to no good I didn't expect the person who led Sam into danger to be one of the bad guys, I won't spoil who that was though. Even for a series not afraid of the sight of blood this episode is fairly gory, in particular a flashback scene where Bill and his maker feed on a couple before making love on a blood soaked bed.

Warning: Spoilers
Flashback to Bill and Lorena seducing a man and a woman in a speakeasy sort of place in 1926 Chicago. They eventually kill the couple, and the necklace Lorena now wears came from the woman they killed.

Hugo and Sookie plan their infiltration strategy, and Hugo also discusses his desire to be turned so he can stay the same age as his vampire partner, Isabel. Their plan fails and Steve and Sarah kidnap them and toss them in the basement.

Tara and Eggs head off to get a hot water heater pump. On the way Eggs has a major deja vu experience. He and Tara walk for a couple of miles in the woods and end up at a place that looks like some kind of ritualistic murder scene. When they get back home the place is a mess and clothes are everywhere. They go outside, see a big old orgy, and end up participating.

Sam and Daphne do it on the pool table, seem to get really close, then later they go for a run -- Sam as a dog, and Daphne as a pig (the same pig that was in the dog/doll house at Maryann's party). Afterward Daphne leads Sam to "the end of the road". Cliffhanger ending.

Nice episode

Warning: Spoilers
It was really good episode. I didn't like second series as much as the first one, but after this particular episode I've changed my mind. Great orgy scene!!! I mean ...WOW!!!! it's like soft porn.... and those black eyes... amazing!!!:) It's not vampire series anymore, right now, for me vampire plots are boring and without any pace. It is sad because in the beginning I thought that True blood would be great vampire show, and it turned into vampire-human romance... prepared specially for teenagers... Well... maybe producers thought about it and showed us some of the Bill evil side... Give some more!!!(Gore!!) OK. that was my first comment on IMDb... so I was kinda nervous...take care all of you!!!

S2.E6 - Really Enjoyed It [9/10]

Warning: Spoilers
(S2. E6) My Live Reaction / Review for True Blood Season 2 Episode 6 ''Hard-Hearted Hannah''. Episode 5 was good and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. So Sookie and this Hugo guy have to go to Fellowship of the Sun, become members and get information? That sounds like really a bad idea. I think Bill should turn Sookie into a vampire because Bill doesn't get older but she does. Lafayette has serious PTSD after what Eric did to him. Sam is in love, im happy for him. The flashbacks with Lorena and Bill are shocking, Bill used to be an animal. Just like I said before, going to the Fellowship of the Sun was a bad idea, they already know about Sookie but how? Jason now is having sex with Sarah? When Steve learns about it that will be bad news for Jason. Daphne works for Maryann? What's going on? Overall an amazing episode, my rating is 9/10.
