Fun, dramatic, thoroughly entertaining

Pretty sure this is my favorite episode of "Chuck", which is saying something since it's been such a great season. It's just filled with such promise, on all fronts; Chuck lands his dream job, tracks down his father for Ellie's wedding, actually figures out who Orion is, and even gets teased with the prospect of once and for all freeing his mind of the Intersect. It's like everything that's been building so far is about to be paid off and it's not even the season finale. The whole thing's a roller-coaster in the most satisfying way, and it still ends on a down note. Remarkable stuff.

And during all of this, Zachary Levi gets to play the hell out of Chuck's pent-up anxieties. He goes toe-to-toe with a great performance from Scott Bakula.

This is where the show fires on all cylinders.

absolutely what i predicted, but still absolutely brilliant!

Warning: Spoilers
wow, what an episode, for once you see a properly emotional performance from Levi, in all the other episodes he's so repetitive but in this Scott bakula's role really supported him in his role.

chuck is always a great show; it has the right amount of drama, action and comedy to balance it but it's like the speed distance time triangle in a sense, with the comedy being on top supporting the other aspects of the show but that usually doesn't matter because it's awesome and in this episode the drama is nailed to the top making this episode one of the best of the series.

now i predicted with the clues they had put in the series that when chuck's dad showed up, he would be orion, and how brilliantly Mr. bakula played it; recluse dad by day- super computer hacker by night.

9/10 for this episode bravo Mr.bakula.

ya gotta love the "klutziness"

Warning: Spoilers
Chuck is quite klutzy esp through the first couple seasons, so to have his dad also on the klutzy side, well just works an also funny.

Having Scott Bakula as their father was a great fit, (just would have been interesting if his character didn't have to die). His "Oh Boy" of course from another good show he played the main character on, as his on screen daughter leaves the room.

But the fun part was watching SB "clumsy" klutzy way of doing things to make sure Chuck sees and/or flashes on things he puts out and/or moves around while the rest an even Chuck think he has "lost it" or is still crazy.

You wouldn't have believed me if I told you I was Orion, said by Steve, Chucks dad.

missing Chuck

Scott Bakula and Chevy Chase added to a great story. Nothing more needs to be said. Quite a touching end to the episode too.
