You had a duty as an officer to tell me
Mrpalli7720 October 2017
A copper was waiting for back up after noticing a drug dealing in progress. Shortly after, a shootout occurred, one dealer died immediately while the police officer lied on the ground with two wounds, one of which in the thigh that caused him severe bleeding; unbelievably, back up didn't come in time and the officer died as a result. Detectives tried at first to locate the other dealer who run away from the crime scene; they managed to find him and in the questioning room he stated that another cop was watching them from afar without doing anything. Brooks believed him but Devlin doesn't, because for him it's not fair to trust a criminal instead of an upstanding police officer with 20 years of duty behind. Anyway the motive is real shocking in the new millennium era.

Phillips is still freaked out due to what happen to her in the last episode. Her fellow workers want to be close to her, because things like this need time to be healed. The judge (Zienia Merton) in my point of view made a mistake during the trial, ruling out a footage evidence that would easily put the perp behind bars.
