A reverend (Victor Power) was handing out free meal and hot beverage to poor people in the hood. Suddenly he noticed a boy lying in the bridge; figuring out the guy passed out, he tried to wake him up but the boy was actually dead due to severe bruises in the head. Right after the police narrow the potential suspect down in the borough, where the victim lived in a foster home. The former junkie mother, now in rehab, had lost custodial rights a while before and her former abusive fiancèe is the prime suspect, but his alibi is strong and detectives have to cut him loose. Murderer has to be find inside the foster home, but would early teenagers be capable of committing such a crime? For what petty reasons?

Defense attorney try to use an unlikely way to set the perp free. An absurd reason any judge would laugh at. But this is fiction and reality is another world thankfully. In this episode we find out Det.Brooks love French pastry.
