Cleaning the Mess
claudio_carvalho24 October 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Eric interrogates Lafayette about Eddie and sends him back to the basement; Lafayette manages to escape, but is wounded in the leg by Ginger that shots him. Sookie and Bill kiss and make up; Sookie befriends Jessica and takes her to see her parents' house. When Jessica decides to visit her family, Bill has to clean the whole mess. Jason participates in a seminar of the church Fellowship of the Sun, disputing the leadership with Luke. Maryann comes to the Merlotte's and the upset Sam asks her to leave the place; but she uses her power to intimidate him.

In this second episode, the stupidity of Sookie almost causes a tragedy. The desperate Lafayette will probably turn into a vampire. Mayanna shows that has the power of controlling Sam's ability. Jason is really a ridiculous character. My vote is eight.

Who is Maryann?
Tweekums25 September 2010
Warning: Spoilers
After a reasonable amount of action in the opening episode things are taken at a more sedate pace here, this wasn't a bad thing though as it gave several plot lines a chance to expand. Sookie and Bill have made up after their disagreement in the previous episode although they are still divided about what to do with Jessica; Lafayette is still Eric's captive and Jason of off to the course with the anti-vampire cult. When Sookie sees an appeal by Jessica's parents on television he goes to talk to her and finds that she is missing her family, in particular her little sister. Jessica manages to persuade Sookie to drive her to their house, promising to stay in the car but when they get there she has to go in and see them; it is clear that she wants to deal with her abusive father, Bill gets there in time to stop her but it is unclear how he will deal with the situation as the episode ends. After being questioned about a missing vampire it looks as if Lafayette is going to escape until he is confronted by one of Eric's human helpers, He is wounded, recaptured and Eric is not happy with him and it looks as if Lafayette is done for. In the third plot strand Jason appears to have made a friend on the bus to camp but it soon looks as if they are going to be rivals. While all this is happening there is something a little strange going on at Sam's bar; Maryann has been working her way through the menu all day long and when she gets up to dance she seems to have an effect on the other patrons, even Officer Bellefleur who had been drowning his sorrows gets up to dance.

Despite having less action this was a good episode, I particularly like the character of Maryann, Michelle Forbes does a great job in the role; the character is still mysterious although there is obviously something different about her; she can force Sam to shape-shift, effect other people's emotions and when Sookie read her mind she was thinking in a mysterious language. Jessica is also becoming a more interesting character; she is clearly manipulative but also appears to care for her little sister still.

"Is there blood in my hair? "
skay_baltimore20 August 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Uh....Eric...you just ripped apart an adult human being limb from limb. Ya THINK you might have gotten some blood in your hair?!!! LOL Eric...what a hoot.

Funny line: Bill asks Sookie how make-up sex compares to "you thought I was dead" sex.

Eggs tells Tara about his checkered past. Jessica's parents go on TV to make an appeal for her safe return. The "Light Of Day" folks have that old familiar PTL feel. And Jason shows em the old (football) moves. Steve and Sarah seem impressed.

When Jessica cries her tears are blood and not human tears. She asks Sookie: "What's wrong with me?" It's almost like a girl who gets her period for the first time without any previous education about what to expect. Consequently she's confused, scared, and angry. Sookie tells her it'll be OK.

Eric tells Bill he needs to take Sookie to find a missing vampire sheriff of Area 9 named Godric.

LaFayette tries -- unsuccessfully -- to escape from Eric. He then asks Eric to turn him into a vampire.

Sookie messes up big time. She acquiesces to drive Jessica by her house and before she can stop her Jessica goes and knocks on the door. Her mother is obviously thrilled to see her and welcomes her and Sookie into the house. Things aren't going all that well, but they totally go south once Jessica's father arrives. Fortunately, Bill arrives in the nick of time and appears to save the day. But the episode ends in cliffhanger fashion, so it's unclear exactly what will happen next.

S2.E2 - Jessica and Maryann [9.6/10]

Warning: Spoilers
(S2. E2) My Live Reaction / Review for True Blood Season 2 Episode 2 ''Keep This Party Going''. Episode 1 was good and I gave it a rating of 9.6/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. I feel so bad for Lafayette, Eric sucks for keeping him as prisoner. Tara shouldn't trust Maryann, she is nuts. I wonder when Tara will realize the truth. It seems like the guy Jason met is a bit jealous of him. Eric cut his beautiful hair? Why? That sucks. I wonder what exactly is Maryann's power? Can she influence the behavior of people or something? Lafayette wants to become a vampire? No I like him the way he is. Beautiful episode overall, my rating is 9.6/10.
