- As Ryan's condition worsens, she questions Batwoman's "no killing" code when she realizes the opportunity to avenge her mother is slipping away. Tatiana fills in the gaps for Alice about her time on Coryana and her history with Ocean,
- Alice finds out from a captive Tatiana why she has no memories of Ocean. Meanwhile, Ryan fights the Kryptonite poisoning to find Alice and killer in revenge for Alice killing Ryan's mother, Cora. Jacob and Sophie look for the map leading the way to Coryana, and find one of Catherine's secret projects.—Gislef
- In the Batcave, Ryan moans in pain from her Kryponite wound as Luke and Mary look on. Mary tells Ryan to remember that she likes her, and determines that the Kryptonite has entered Ryan's brain.
Tatiana comes to Gotham and meets with Alice in the latter's sewer lair. Alice shows Tatiana Ocean's apparent body, and then knocks Tatiana out.
At the Crows' HQ, Sophie tells Jacob that she wouldn't have traded the map for Alice if she knew she had to hand it over for thugs. Jacob tells her that Aaron wanted the Desert Rose to cure his damaged amygdala, and Jacob figures the doctors treating Aaron also wanted the Rose. All of them are ethical except for Dr. Ethan Rogers, who has apparently been running off-the-grid medical experiments. They've discovered that Rogers is working for one of Catherine's secret medical programs, and Jacob figures that Rogers has the map. He and Sophie go to get it.
Alice handcuffs Tatiana wand wakes her up, and tells her to explain why she and Ocean had forgotten memories. Tatiana tells Alice that Safiyah had Alice's memories wiped, and Alice was a threat to Safiyah because they had a common enemy: Catherine. Safiyah had her minions steal one of Catherine's yachts to teach her a lesson, and they found Alice in the yacht wearing Catherine's clothes and drinking her champagne.
The Past
Safiyah and Tatiana confront the captured Beth, and Safiyah tells Tatiana that she'll deal with Beth personally. Beth has already taken out of four of Safiyah's men. Safiyah treated Beth's wounds, and asks why Beth was on the yacht. Beth tells Safiyah that she convinced her family that she was dead, and she spent 11 years in her kidnapper's basement.
Now
Tatiana tells Alice that Safiyah was apparently inspired by Alice since she escaped her prison. Safiyah considers herself a prisoner of Coryana. Alice points out that she remembers all of it and wonders where Ocean comes in, and Tatiana tells her that Safiyah realized Alice had purpose and she wanted to harness Alice's rage for Catherine. Alice needed discipline.
The Past
Safiyah takes Beth to Ocean to teach her discipline.
Now
Tatiana says that Safiyah wanted Alice's loyalty so that when she went back to Gotham, she'd comeback and join Safiyah's "family". However, Alice wanted Ocean.
In the Batcave, Mary tells Luke that the Crows are going to get the map, and Ryan is never going to make it. She has acute radiation, and Mary suggests that they ask Jacob to bring back the Rose that Ryan needs to be cured. Luke points out that Jacob may shut down the clinic, and they hear Ryan take off in the Batmobile.
Alice is skeptical of Tatiana's claim, and Tatiana says that no one even noticed Alice and Ocean were together because they hated each other.
The Past
Ocean teaches Beth how to fight, and when he knocks her down Beth asks what the point is when they can use guns. Ocean says that they can always lose guns, and Beth tells him that there's a world island outside of Coryana that Safiyah doesn't tell her followers about. Ocean renews his attack on Beth.
The two continue fighting over the weeks, and Beth manages to take Ocean down. She says that it's a waste, and tells Beth that she needs to learn how to feel.
Now
Batwoman drives through Gotham, and she hallucinates her mother Cora in the seat next to her. Cora asks Batwoman if she wants to be going off on her own, and Batwoman remembers the past.
The Past
As Ryan tends to Cora's, Cora warns her adopted daughter against Angelique. Ryan insists that Cora isn't as bad as Cora thinks. Blood starts leaking from a wound in Cora's head, but Cora doesn't realize anything is wrong.
Now
Batwoman snaps out of her hallucination. Meanwhile, Luke calls her and gets no response, and tells Mary that Batwoman is driving to the West End. Mary realizes that Batwoman has turned to her heart since her brain isn't working.
Batwoman lands on the fire escape of Angelique's apartment. Angelique's current girlfriend comes in. Batwoman tells Angelique that she's looking for ocean, and Angelique asks her girlfriend to give them some privacy. Once the woman leaves, Angelique claims that she doesn't know Ocean. Batwoman threatens her, and Angelique says that Ocean grows mushrooms for drugs. When Batwoman threatens to take Angelique to the cops, Angelique tells Batwoman that Ocean is in Coventry and shoves her off the fire escape and on to a parked car beneath.
Mary and Luke arrive and get Batwoman arrive, while a police helicopter responds to the car alarm, flies overhead, and tells them to stop. Luke to take his car back to the Batcave while he drives the Batmobile. Mary argues, and Luke gives her the keys to the Batmobile. The two of them drive back in their separate vehicles.
In her hallucination, Cora vanishes. Ryan finds Alice in the apartment. Alice finally tells Ryan that she must be mad or she wouldn't have come there. More Wonderland gangers appear, and Ryan fights them and they disappear. Ryan asks Alice how she can just murder someone's mother, and Ryan slams Alice into a wall and tells her to say her victim's name. Alice says Cora's name, and Ryan draws a knife, stabs Alice repeatedly in the stomach, and says that she's getting the justice her mother deserves.
Back at the Batcave, Luke tells Mary that he's put a tracker on Ryan in case she flees. Mary mixes up a temporary antidote for the hallucinations, and Luke leaves.
Alice gives Tatiana some water, and continues her interrogation. Tatiana figures that Safiyah was in love with Alice.
The Past
Safiyah invites Beth to her apartment, and tells her about the Rose. She explains that the Rose is a miracle cure-all and it's her birthright to protect it. Safiyah has built an island to protect Coryana from anyone who hears about the Rose and comes to get it. She relates the legend of how the Rose was created, and only a woman's life force can birth the Rose. Safiyah cuts her finger, and the blood from the wound causes the Rose on her table to bloom.
Now
Tatiana tells Alice that Safiyah couldn't tell Alice how she felt, so she entrusted her with her most valued secrets. She says that Alice wasn't a threat to her, but to Coryana as a whole. Alice is skeptical, and Tatiana admits that she's in love with Safiyah and didn't hesitate to destroy Alice when the chance arose.
The Crows go to Rogers' institute, and Jacob tells Sophie that Mary was operating an illegal medical clinic. Sophie admits that she knew about it, and didn't tell Jacob because she didn't want him to shut it down when the place was Mary's life. Jacob refuses to let Mary turn into Catherine by cutting corners.
The Crows break into a conference room filled with dead people, hooked up to blood bags with blood splattered on the wall. Rogers is one of the corpses, and a video is playing on the wall. It shows the elderly patient dying from treatment to the Rose. The man is one of the dead people in the room, and Sophie wonders what they're dealing with.
Ryan wakes up, and Mary tells her that they found her outside of Angelique's apartment. When Mary wonders why she went there, Ryan says that she needed a lead on Ocean so she can find Alice and kill her. She insists that she's going to get justice for Cora and Catherine. Mary tells Ryan to get some rest, and texts Sophie saying they need the map.
Jacob and Sophie search Rogers' office for the map, and Sophie figures they were trying to create more of the serum and failed. They figure Safiyah's Many Arms of Death are responsible. Jacob finds a map container, but all that it's inside it is a note from Safiyah telling them to stop digging. Furious, Jacob tells Sophie that he refuses to lose Kate.
The Past
Beth finds Ocean and tells him that Kate found the cell where she was held. Kate didn't feel her and left, and Beth says that she wants revenge because she can't forget moments like that. Ocean tells her not to forget it, but Kate will spend her life trying to fix Alice but only Alice can do that. He says that Alice should be happy because she escaped, and says that he's going to take sprigs of the Rose and give it to the world so he can make money to travel the world.
Ocean tells Alice that he wants to escape life like she did, and experience life outside of Coryana. He takes Beth's hand, asks her to come with him, and kisses her. She kisses him back and they have sex, unaware that Tatiana is watching from the shadows.
Now
Tatiana tells Alice that the man Alice loved is the same man Safiyah convinced Alice to kill. As Tatiana laughs, Alice tells her that she's not shocked by the revelation.
In the Batcave, Sophie texts Mary that Safiyah got the map. Mary finds Ryan at the computer, and Ryan figures that Ocean would need a neighborhood with power for the3 grow lamp and a neighborhood with a high moisture level. Mary tells Ryan that she can't let Ryan kill Alice, and Ryan wonders how they can claim to fight for justice and protect victim, when there's a psychopath out there.
Ryan asks Mary if the found the map, and Mary admits that they didn't. In response, Ryan asks Mary if she ever thinks about what her life would be if Alice hadn't killed Catherine. Ryan figures that she's as good as dead, and she isn't dying without giving justice. Mary directs her to the Batmobile keys, and Ryan leaves.
In the sewers, Alice packs up to leave. Tatiana wonders if she wants to know, and says that there was collateral damage
The Past
Safiyah discovers Ocean's plan, ties up Ocean and Alice, and Ocean tells her that Safiyah is furious that he has the one thing she can't. Tatiana asks Safiyah to kill Alice, but Safiyah says that she's going to make the punishment fit the time. She tells Tatiana to bring Enigma, and Ocean tells Alice that Enigma is a hypnotist and going to mess with their friends.
Furious, Safiyah tells Alice that she's going to home, embrace her fairytale persona, imbue it with fury, build her own army, and carry out vengeance on her family. Alice will forget about Ocean and their love for each other.
Now
Tatiana tells Alice that Safiyah created the cold, hard, vengeance-obsessed killing machine that Alice has become... like herself. Alice puts her knife to Tatiana's throat, then tells Tatiana to take Ocean's body and she'll call for pickup while she goes to wear appropriate clothing.
Atop a rooftop, Batwoman scans for the electricity and moisture levels necessary. She finds them.
Alice tells the still-living Ocean what Tatiana told her. Ocean points out that the Rose destroys everything it touches, and tells Alice that it's it between them. He asks what she's going to do, and Alice says that she's going to Coryana to get her final revenge on Kate. Alice asks Ocean if he has a reason to stop her, and he tells her to liver her life and leaves.
Luke returns to the Batcave and discovers that Batwoman is gone.
Batwoman breaks in and finds Alice, and asks if Alice knows who she is. Ryan removes her mask and tells Alice that she killed her mother, and now she's going to kill Alice. Alice isn't impressed, and thrilled that she spawned two Batwomen. She says that she has no memory of Cora, and Batwoman punches her but winces in pain from the radiation. They fight and Alice easily knocks Batwoman down and steps on her wounded shoulder. Ryan fights back and knocks Alice down, and starts choking her. Hallucinating, Ryan sees Cora there, telling her that the girl she raised wouldn't kill someone. She releases Alice, saying that Alice isn't worth killing, and Alice goes she says that it wasn't her fault. Ryan doesn't care and Alice goes.
Sophie approaches Jacob in his office. She reports that there's no sign of Alice, and Jacob drinks and says that he knows why Catherine lied and said that Beth was dead. Catherine was doing him a favor, because the only thing worse than losing children is waking up every time with the hope that a child is alive. Jacob vows that he won't sleep until he gets Kate back.
Tatiana finds Alice on the street, and takes her to the airport so they can fly to Coryana.
Ryan wakes up in the Batcave, and Luke asks her where Alice is. Getting up, Ryan tells Luke and Mary that she realized that killing Alice would make Ryan the same as Alice. She says that she let Alice go, and they need her to go to the way to Coryana. Mary warns that Alice will Kate, and Ryan says that she'll stop Alice. She explains that she put a tracker in Alice's boot, and they'll save Coryana. Mary figures that they'll get the Rose and also save Ryan.
