You are my miracle, Sookie.
lastliberal14 June 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Season two opens up with the death of the woman who performed the exorcism on Tara and her momma. Where is Lafayette?

Bill is stuck with Jessica until she is ready to go out on her own, and that really doesn't sit well with Sookie. Of course, when he admitted to killing Uncle Bartlett, she really was conflicted.

Maryann, who showed up to help Tara, has a part in Sam's past.

But, what does she want from him?

Jason is becoming a religious fanatic. What do they have in store for him?

It seems that Eric is making good on his promise of retribution.

Welcome back to Bon Temps

Warning: Spoilers
We don't have to wait long in season two for the first body to be found; Miss Jeanette, the phoney exorcist turns up in Detective Bellefleur's car minus her heart. Tara is understandably disturbed and at first tells the police that she has no idea who the victim was but after a talk with Sookie she explains all she knows. The police call in her mother but she refuses to believe that Miss Jeanette was a fake. Maryann Forrester comes to collect Tara and while there she gives her bother a piece of her mind. Bar owner Sam goes over to Maryann's house to drop off some things and sees a strange statue; a statue he has seen before. When Sam was younger he had broken into Maryann's house and tried to rob it but when she caught him she seduced him rather than calling the police… that didn't stop him robbing her when she was showering though. Meanwhile Vampire Bill is having difficulty with Jessica the vampire he created; she doesn't seem interested in drinking True Blood and he won't let her drink the real thing. Sookie's brother Jason has got involved with the anti-vampire church and has been offered a place on one of their courses if he can pay the $1200. He does not have this money, not until Sookie gives him the money she inherited of her abusive uncle anyway. Sookie might not have liked her uncle but she is not pleased that Bill killed him, she quickly manages to forgive him though and is soon stark naked having sex with him. The other vampires haven't forgotten that three of their number were murdered last series and have taken several people prisoner including Lafayette.

This was a good opening to the season; we immediately had a new mystery; who killed Miss Jeanette? And is the mysterious Maryann involved? The acting was good, I particularly liked Michelle Forbes who plays Maryann; she makes the character seem very different from anybody else in the show. There was also some humour to be found, I chuckled at Bill's attempts to find the right type of blood for Jessica and Ryan Kwanten is always slightly comic as Jason. True Blood has never been shy about sex and nudity and this episode was no different with Anna Paquin's Sookie shedding all her clothes before getting passionate with an equally undressed Bill.

"Less like ass then that A positive, but more like ass than the B negative"

Warning: Spoilers
Ya gotta respect a gal like Jessica who knows her asses from the various True Blood varieties.

A skeleton from Sookie's closet...washed up on the riverbank. Sookie's great uncle's body finally washed up down the river from his house. She inherited $11,000.00 from him. She got blood on the envelope containing the check. She gives it to Jason because she wants no part of it. Jason takes it as a sign to sign up for the leadership training at The Fellowship Of The Sun.

The body in Andy's car is not Lafayette's -- it's Miss Jeanette's. And her heart had been cut out.

Bill explains the rules to Jessica, including recycling: "True Blood and other glass items go in the blue container, and paper products go in the white container". (Well...I guess, when you stop to think about it...vampires are the ULTIMATE recyclers.) :D

LaFayette is not dead; he's chained up in some hole in the ground place, with a few other people. (Vampire justice -- Eric wants to get to the bottom of the recent vampire killings.)

Apparently...when Sam had his first shape shifting experience, he ended up at Maryann's. And in Maryann.

Maryann sure is a stickler when it comes to people needing -- or not needing -- towels!! (But she's not after Sam's money that he'd taken from her when he was 17.)

Bill professes his love to Sookie. (And also...he's not sorry he killed her nasty uncle who'd molested her.)

Not one of my favorite eps so far.

S2.E1 - To Bill Or Not To Bill? [9.6/10]

Warning: Spoilers
(S2. E1) My Live Reaction / Review for True Blood Season 2 Episode 1 ''Nothing But the Blood''. Season 1 was good and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. The exorcist lady is dead? Who would want her dead though? Someone keeps Lafayette as prisoner? What's going on? So Jason is now part of a cult? Well.. Jason is dumb so no surprise there. How old is Maryann? Maryann is nuts. Sam used to be a thief? I didn't expect that. Sookie needs to decide, does she want to be with Bill or not? Im getting tired. Eric keeps Lafayette as a prisoner? I didn't see that coming but it makes sense if Eric knows that Lafayette has been selling V. An amazing episode to start the season. My rating is 9.6/10.

Loving Each Other

Warning: Spoilers
Detective Andy and the Merlotte's waitresses find the body of Miss Jeanette without her heart in a parked car. Lafayette is still missing; actually he is chained in the basement of a house with two other guys. Sookie visits Bill and meets Jessica; Bill explains that he is teaching the young woman to be a vampire but the jealous Sookie question why he had not told him before. Sam recalls his past with Maryann when he was a seventeen year-old teenager. Tara flirts with Egg, who also lives in Maryann's manor. Jason joins the church Fellowship of the Sun and schedules a seminar with the followers.

"Nothing but the Blood" is the opening of the Second Season of True Blood. Great part of the plot seems to be an erotic soap opera, with the boring dialogs between the insecure Sookie and her annoying fake accent and Bill. The mysterious relationship of Sam and Maryann is now clearer and the best part of this show. My vote is six.

Title (Brazil): Not Available.
