"A Shattered Diamond" is a movie that revolves around a group of friends who are struggling to come to terms with the loss of one of their own. The film, directed by Nick Muhlbach, follows the characters as they learn to cope with their grief and move on. While the concept of the story is interesting, the execution falls flat. The acting by Lou DeNardo, Tyler Winfield, and the supporting cast is mediocre, and the plot lacks depth and fails to evoke genuine emotions from the audience. Overall, "A Shattered Diamond" may be an okay movie for those who want a quick watch, but it's not a film that will leave a lasting impression.

Not for Me

"A Shattered Diamond" is a movie about a group of friends dealing with the loss of one of their own. Unfortunately, the story was predictable and lacked any real depth. The characters were one-dimensional and failed to evoke any real emotions from the audience. The performances by the cast were mediocre at best, with no standout performances. The directing by Nick Muhlbach also fell short, failing to add any real artistic flair or unique perspective to the story. Overall, "A Shattered Diamond" was a forgettable movie with a weak storyline and uninspired execution. I am not sure if I would recommend it.

falls short
harpertturner7 March 2023
"A Shattered Diamond" follows a group of friends as they navigate the loss of one of their own and try to find a way to move forward, a plot point that some can relate to. While the film tackles important themes of grief and healing, it falls short in terms of execution. The pacing is slow and there are too many subplots that distract from the main story. The performances by the cast are adequate, but nothing particularly stands out. Overall, "A Shattered Diamond" has the potential to be a poignant exploration of loss and friendship, but ultimately falls short in delivering a truly compelling story.

Forgettable

"A Shattered Diamond" is a movie about a group of friends dealing with the loss of one of their own. The plot is predictable, and the characters lack depth. The acting performances are mediocre, with no standout performances. The storyline is cliché and fails to offer any real insights into the human experience of grief and loss. Overall, the movie feels like a cheap attempt to capitalize on a well-worn theme without adding anything new or meaningful to the conversation. While the production value is decent, the lack of originality in the plot and characters make "A Shattered Diamond" a forgettable movie experience.

Lots of emotions
zopekorh10 March 2023
There was so much emotions is this film, it's as poetic as it gets. It's a little more for me because I've been through something similar and it's deep. The director did such a great job capturing these emotions and the way these actors kept it together it seemed so real. Talented cast and great editing. I also felt it like it didn't drag out as there was no extra unnecessary scenes it was done just right. The ending was brilliant also as was the soundtrack and the shot selections. This is now one of my favorite films I've seen so far this year, powerful and emotional. Well worth a watch. If your reading this review and contemplating if you should watch this, i say watch it now.

Decent
aleksyeyivanov8 March 2023
"A Shattered Diamond" is a decent film that explores the theme of loss and grief among a group of friends. The performances by the cast are solid, particularly Lou DeNardo and Tyler Winfield, who play the main characters. However, the supporting cast felt a bit underutilized, and their characters were not developed as well as they could have been.

The writing by Lou DeNardo is good, but not exceptional. The film takes a fairly straightforward approach to the subject matter, without offering many new insights or perspectives on the theme of grief. The direction by Nick Muhlbach is competent, but the pacing of the film felt a bit slow at times, and some scenes felt repetitive.

The score by Nate Muhlbach is a highlight of the film, adding emotional depth to the scenes and enhancing the overall mood of the story. The editing is also well-done, effectively transitioning between scenes and maintaining a consistent tone throughout the film.

Overall, "A Shattered Diamond" is a decent film that offers a heartfelt exploration of the theme of grief and loss. While it falls short of being a truly exceptional film, it still manages to deliver an emotional and engaging story that is worth watching. I give it a 5 out of 10.

Heartfelt but not Spectacular
simonocooper7 March 2023
"A Shattered Diamond" tells the story of a group of friends struggling to cope with the unexpected death of one of their own. As they try to come to terms with their loss, tensions run high and relationships are tested. While the performances by the cast, including Lou DeNardo and Tyler Winfield, are strong, the film falls short in its exploration of grief and fails to fully develop its characters. The pacing can feel slow at times, with a lack of tension building until the final act. Despite its shortcomings, "A Shattered Diamond" is a heartfelt exploration of the complexities of friendship and loss.

What an amazing heartfelt film. Lots of emotions and the plot really focuses on the most beautiful feeling a human could have and that is, human connection. Great acting from everyone involved and the ending had me in tears. This was our weekend movie and we were all glued to the screen right to the very end. Not cheesy at all and it didn't drag out like a lot of other drama films I've seen of late. A seriously well done film that's highly entertaining. This is easily a 9 on here, hope this makes the film festival rounds as it deserves awards and more eyes on this. A shattered diamond is such an appropriate name for it to.

Perfect
mangosteen5511 March 2023
This movie has what Hollywood is so lacking these days: great characters. And great character development as well. Many producers think that action and drama and lewd behavior are the ingredients to a great recipe. But in reality, these kind of wholesome, heart-wrenching stories are ones that have all to do with fun, flawed, genuine characters. I wish they would learn that lesson so we could get more quality films like this one. Besides that, the acting is first-rate. Every person plays their character to a T, and the whole cast has great chemistry. A rare gem that never gets old. Kudos to everyone involved.

Great for people who need it
caleb_hartman7 March 2023
"A Shattered Diamond" is a poignant story of grief and friendship that tugs at the heartstrings. Director Nick Muhlbach beautifully captures the complexities of dealing with loss, and how a group of friends navigate the aftermath of losing one of their own. Lou DeNardo gives a remarkable performance as Alan, who struggles to come to terms with his friend's death. Tyler Winfield is equally captivating as Barclay, a loyal friend who tries to hold everyone together. The supporting cast, including Bre'ana Nix, Nick Earl, Jenny Boswell, and Emily Bishop Bosu, add depth to the film with their nuanced performances.

The movie sensitively explores how grief affects each individual in different ways and how they learn to support each other through the pain. The characters' emotions are raw and authentic, making it easy for the audience to connect and empathize with them. The film's message of hope and healing through the power of friendship is a beautiful reminder of the importance of cherishing our loved ones while they are still with us. While some may find the pacing of the movie slow, it adds to the somber tone of the story.

Overall, "A Shattered Diamond" is a touching movie that skillfully portrays the complexities of loss and the human spirit's resilience. The performances are exceptional, and the story is relatable, making it a must-watch for anyone who has experienced grief or wants to learn more about it.

So Relatable
cynvanity11 March 2023
So unbelieveably wholesome and warm. Everything works so beautifully well to tell the story. This movie could be my new favorite. It's that one movie you see and immediately after watching you want to see it again. The story is so beautiful and full of friendship, strength and tragedy. The acting is amazing also! Every actor felt like a real person going through real life events. You felt what they felt. I wish I could write a review that does this movie justice. Also Lou DeNardo is an upcoming star to watch out for sure. A talented actor and a writer. Watch it , watch it, watch it! Award winning.

This movie was a poignant and heartfelt portrayal of grief, loss, and the healing power of friendship. Nick Muhlbach's direction was impressive, capturing both the rawness of grief and the beauty of healing with equal skill. The pacing was just right, allowing the characters' emotional journeys to unfold organically. The soundtrack was also a standout, perfectly complementing the emotional depth of the story. While the plot may not be entirely original, the movie's authenticity and relatability more than make up for it. Decent Film
emmasmith-458568 March 2023
"A Shattered Diamond" is a heartfelt story about a group of friends struggling to cope with the loss of one of their own. The acting performances are generally good, with Lou DeNardo as Alan and Tyler Winfield as Barclay delivering particularly strong performances. However, some of the supporting cast members feel a bit flat and could have used more development.

The writing is solid, but it doesn't quite reach the emotional depths that it could have. The themes of grief and moving on are explored, but the story sometimes feels a bit too predictable and cliché. The score by Nate Muhlbach is effective at enhancing the emotional tone of the film.

The direction and editing by Nick Muhlbach are competent, but there are some pacing issues that could have been improved. Some scenes feel too drawn out, while others are too rushed, and the transitions between them can be jarring.

Overall, "A Shattered Diamond" is a decent film that tackles heavy themes with some success. While it has its flaws, it's worth watching for the strong performances by DeNardo and Winfield, as well as the effective score by Muhlbach. However, if you're looking for a more nuanced exploration of grief and loss, this film may not quite hit the mark.

This movie was a masterful exploration of the intricacies of grief, friendship, and self-discovery. Nick Muhlbach's direction was impressive, skillfully balancing the emotional intensity of the story with moments of levity and hope. The performances were uniformly outstanding, with Lou DeNardo and Tyler Winfield delivering standout turns as the central friends grappling with the loss of one of their own. Bre'ana Nix was a particular standout, her nuanced performance adding depth and nuance to the story. The film's pacing was pitch-perfect, allowing the characters' emotional journeys to unfold with just the right amount of drama and tension. The soundtrack was also a standout, perfectly capturing the mood and tone of each scene. While the plot may not be entirely original, the movie's honesty, sincerity, and heart more than make up for it. This is a film that will make you laugh, cry, and ultimately leave you feeling inspired and hopeful. If you're looking for a deeply moving and well-crafted drama, this is one not to be missed.

Good not Great
ava_briggs6 March 2023
This film is a poignant exploration of the complexities of grief and the power of friendship to heal. Nick Muhlbach's direction is competent, if not particularly inventive, and the performances are solid across the board. Lou DeNardo and Tyler Winfield have a natural chemistry that makes their characters' friendship feel authentic and touching. Bre'ana Nix, Nick Earl, Jenny Boswell, and Emily Bishop Bosu all give strong supporting performances, with Nix standing out as a particularly compelling presence on screen. The film's pacing is generally good, with a few scenes that drag on a bit longer than necessary. The soundtrack is unremarkable but serves its purpose well. While the film's overall themes and message are heartfelt and emotionally resonant, there are moments when the dialogue and characterizations feel a bit too on-the-nose or clichéd. Additionally, the plot is fairly predictable and lacks some of the nuance and complexity that might have made it more engaging. Overall, this is a solid drama that delivers some genuine moments of heartbreak and catharsis, even if it falls short of being a truly exceptional film.

"A story of a group friends as they deal with the loss of one of their own, and learn how to move on." - this is a story that resonates with most people, and this movie captured it well. Director Nick Muhlbach and writer Lou DeNardo did a great job in depicting the stages of grief, the challenges of coping with the loss of a loved one, and the importance of support from friends.

The cast, especially Lou DeNardo and Tyler Winfield, gave solid performances, showcasing the different ways each character grieved and moved forward. Supporting cast members Bre'ana Nix, Nick Earl, Jenny Boswell, and Emily Bishop Bosu also contributed greatly to the film.

The pacing of the film was a bit slow at times, but it allowed for the emotional impact of each scene to be fully felt. The soundtrack was also fitting and added to the overall mood of the movie.

Overall, this movie is a touching portrayal of grief and friendship. While it may not be a film for everyone, it is definitely worth watching if you want to experience a heartfelt and honest story of moving on after loss. I give it an 8 out of 10.

Just Okay
hazelastone6 March 2023
I have to be honest, the movie was just okay. The plot of a group of friends dealing with the loss of one of their own and learning how to move on was predictable and lacked depth. While the acting was decent, especially Lou DeNardo and Tyler Winfield, the supporting cast felt underdeveloped and didn't add much to the story. Nick Muhlbach's directing was solid but not groundbreaking. The pacing was slow at times, and some scenes felt unnecessary. Overall, the movie had its moments, but it didn't leave a lasting impression. If you're looking for a feel-good movie to pass the time, this might do the trick, but don't expect anything exceptional.
