Romantic Escapism
franklindf27 November 2020
These movies have a similarity to Fifty Shades of Grey so much that it's almost a blatant copy. The main difference is with some of the character nuances between Gabriel in these movies, and Christian in Fifty Shades. But otherwise they are basically the same thing. Gabriel starts in the first movie as a stern and aggressive person. However, he does undergo a transformation and by the third film he's pretty much a softie. In fact, he's so accommodating to Julia that it's almost overdone - you can even start to question the strength of his character. Christian Grey, on the other had, remains more principled and in those films the female winds up being more accommodating to him, and even embraces his lifestyle at some point. The Fifty Shades movies are higher budget and there is a greater sense of wealth and privilege. But the Dante/Gabriel movies are thematically similar to such an extent that you would probably like them if you are a fan of this genre. I think this third movie in the series is better than the second - in fact, I think the second one could be skipped. The third is a bit more interesting because the couple travels to Italy and there is a bit more going on. But overall this is a fluff piece, it's entertaining but it isn't high caliber artistic film-making. They are mostly just working the formula here but it's watchable.

Charming budget version of 50 Shades
denise_actress9 January 2021
Stumble upon these movies online and during lockdowns why not watch a romantic trilogy. Lead actor is quite a handsome Devil. And the leading lady was charming. But I have to ask what's the deal with these romance stories where the guys are model like handsome but the females must be awkward plain Jane virgins. They did that with those Twilight movies as well. Romance movies don't work if the female is also model handsome or it doesn't work if the guy is short and frumpy and the female is super hot. I couldn't believe the dialogue... it reminded me of dime store romance paperback Harlequin novels of bygone days.

Best journey to love ever!

The entire movie was a masterpiece. I've watched it over and over, but can't seem to get enough. Kudos to Sylvain Reynard, Tosca Musk, Passionflix, screenwriter, actors and crew for a job phenomenally done!!

the best part of Gabriel's Inferno!
LindaL1005 December 2020
So this is the last part for the 'Gabriel's Inferno' movie, which was cut into 3 parts. As much as I love the first 2 parts, but part 3 is without a doubt the best part! Part 3 had more drama with the appearance of Julia's abusive ex boyfriend Simon, and more details about Gabriel's and Julia's pasts are revealed, part 3 is also faster paced compared to the first 2 parts because there was more going on. And it's wonderful to watch the beautiful love and relationship between Gabriel and Julia deepen and blossom even more in part 3! And the chemistry between Giulio and Melanie is absolutely perfect and phenomenal! I have seen many actors with good on-screen chemistry, but undoubtedly Giulio & Melanie have the BEST chemistry I have ever seen by far both on-screen and in real-life! I loved every minute of part 3, but all their scenes in beautiful Florence are my favourites. Many people compare this to '50 shades of grey' and some even accuse Gabriel's Inferno of being a 50 shades "copy", but the truth is the original Gabriel's Inferno book that these movies are based on was actually released BEFORE 50 shades, so this accusation is false. And Gabriel's Inferno is very different to 50 shades, while 50 shades is mostly about sex and lust & S&M, Gabriel's Inferno is a slow-burn romance focusing more on the emotional aspects of love & romance and building deeper more meaningful relationships between the characters. And Gabriel is very different to Christian, while Christian loves S&M & treats women like mere sex objects, Gabriel as a lover is far more gentle and loving and he treats the woman he loves with respect & dignity, he doesn't abuse Julia, instead he showers her with real love & affection and treats her like a princess. And the storylines are completely different, GI is about 2 broken people with traumatic pasts who fall in love, then lost each other then found each other again 6 years later when they become professor & student. The first 2 books in the GI series focuses on their forbidden lovestory while they try to hide their relationship from the university. So I don't understand why people would think this is a "copy" of 50 Shades when they are both so different in terms of characters & storylines. Anyone comparing this to 50 shades clearly don't know the difference between love and lust, I think many people's idea of "romance" nowadays is just raunchy sex, but love & romance is so much more than just sex, movies like 50 shades & 365 days glorify sex & are full of raunchy meaningless sex & forcing women into abusive relationships, that's not "love", it's just lust & abuse. The Gabriel's Inferno series has always been different, it's about REAL love, focusing more on the emotional connection & love between 2 people, it takes it's time to develop the characters & the relationships hence it's slower-paced, but this means Gabriel's Inferno focuses on creating deep & meaningful relationships and real passion based on true love, not meaningless raunchy sex. Unlike 50 shades & 365 days, the Gabriel's Inferno series is a classic romance story about courtly love.

Anyway overall I think part 1 of GI was good, part 2 was better but part 3 is the best! I can't wait for the sequels 'Gabriel's Rapture' and 'Gabriel's Redemption'!

Discount Bin 50 Shades
bbbuttons16 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
We committed to a girls weekend and this series based on the reviews. We didn't buy enough wine.

1. Just make it 4 hours. Stop turning out movie after move and just make the next movie four quality hours all in one.

2. We are going to start our own production company just to have an excuse to travel to Italy. We promise to film something even lower budget than this. We biggest a sip of win every time you catch a production flaw.

3. You are in Florence and there are screensavers with higher production levels.

4. Her hair changes color twice in the episode who in heck was in charge of continuity. Is that why they won't let her get it wet or wash it all?

Passionflix should be renamed Lukewarmflix. We wait four hours for the big scene and if you blink you miss it and a creepy "one ride per night babe" ending.

A+ score for the cover art but lowest marks possible for delivering on a promise.

A finale that touches the stars
vanessahuvier11 December 2021
Every hell of Gabriel is better than the last but this one ... there is everything in this one. We discover the painful past of our two favorite characters. We discover new characters not very nice and we have even more empathy for Julia and Gabriel. We hear words we expected. The actors reveal to us new emotions, new feelings. And then ... we travel ... we discover Italy and its incredible places of romanticism ... and we attend the 20 most beautiful last minute of a film that we have ever seen. What I liked about the first two films is that the director took all her time to tell us this beautiful love story. And yet the films are not slow, everything is linked very quickly and I find that no scene is useless in this trilogy. Nothing sticks out. And since the first two films lay the foundations for us, show us the characters and their stories, we feel involved and we have the time to get attached to them. So when the last 20 minutes roll in, it's the culmination of whatever they've been able to overcome. This scene is fair, incredible. Just look at it, it's all there but it would have the same power if they had been covered with a sheet. It is not their body that interests us but the feelings they transmit to us. I wouldn't change absolutely nothing in this scene, eh, but I'm just saying that the actors, who are at their peak, reveal themselves even more in this scene. The way it's been filmed and acted out and then you know a lot of love scenes, I mean love scenes, which take their time, which go slowly and where you see the beginning, the middle and the end. .. remember which romantic movies you like best? , Ghost, Titanic, Pretty woman, Dirty dancing ... they all have love scenes ... we don't want voyeurism but these scenes, even if they are beautiful, only have snippets of them, whereas here, we have the whole process. We see everything, we see nothing, which is even more sensual. In short, everything is magic in this scene. We feel this alchemy between the actors ... there is a soul in this trilogy. So of course, the characters have dialogue that you never hear in life, but the point is to entertain us. Transport yourself by looking at them and forget everything for a moment. In short, it's a real success from start to finish.

The most romantic scene you'll ever see in film
annasimpkins19 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Sometimes you see romance in movies and it is done poorly, but not this film. It takes you to the dark corners of the characters life and fills in the tragic sadness that pulls them closer together. You watch as it builds up to the most romantic scene I have ever watched on film that was done with taste and style. Every one watching mouth would drop open at the exquisite way in which the characters join. The passion is unlike anything I have ever scene and so well done. I can not wait for more of their journey.

If your a huge book nerd then this is for you...
kasume-490028 December 2021
I highly recommend this book to movie adaption. The fact that a film company actually bothers to make the movies exactly like the loved books, it deserves a huge 20 out of 10. And another thing that they want to show case the whole book in different part is even better. A massive hat tip to the the actors and film crew you all rock BIG time. Keep up the awesome work.

Again another great adaptation
TattooLuna28 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Well, my rating is solely related to how 'good' is the adaptation imo, bc if I wanted to rate the plot, I'd have rated the book instead. I didn't think the movie was going to be so... explicit, tbh. I thought they were going to let the sex scenes implicit, but they followed the script thoroughly even there. Wow. We could really see Julia and Gabriel. Again the adaptation was veeeery similar to the book (it's almost like reading the book itself, despite some minor details which don't make big difference to how the development of the story) and the choices for soundtracks got much better and suitable to the plot and to the scenarios. I just can't give it a 10/10 rating, bc of both Paul and Christa, who should have had an actor/actress who matched their description as well as Giulio and Melanie did, among some other minor details which I think shouldn't be left out, like when Julia got Grace's necklace. Not that the necklace was that important, but if it was going to be part of the story then it should be told how it ended up with Julia. As for the comparison with 50 shades of Grey... the very essence of the plot is very similar, indeed (good and humble girls falling in love with troubled and rich guys), but Gabriel's Inferno starts with romance/love since the beginning to culminate in sex in the very end in opposition to 50 Shades, which focus on sex since the beginning and culminates in romance throughout the development of the plot, which justifies why Gabriel changes drastically his behaviour bc of Julia (since he always loved her, differently from Christian, who had a hard time admitting he was in love and didn't want to be in a relationship). They're both 'cheesy', but the former is more than the latter, perhaps for having more clichés or for being less sexual and more romantic. Or both.

One of the best adaptation ever!
safathm25 March 2021
I am a book lover and nowadays where book series are frequently turned into movie series, I have never seen a better adaptation than Gabriel's Inferno. Sylvain Reynard is a great writer. What an intellectual and artistic person she is can be understood by considering his love for beautiful Italy. Tosca Musk, on the other hand, is a great producer with works that touch the souls of all men and women. Congratulations to Reynard, Musk, our mythological God Berruti, the angel Zanetti and everyone who contributed to the production. My personal recommendation to people is to read the book first and then watch the movie. It has been years since I read the series but while I was watching the movies, I decided to read the books again. When I finish reading each book, I will watch the movies one by one again. My request from dear Musk is to turn this precious work into a film at length, with every line. Not one book as one movie, but maybe several movies. Since the last book Gabriel's Promise has not been translated into my native language in my country yet, I could not resist and read the English version but watching its movie versions will be a completely different flavor. Looking forward! Dear friends, all I can say is... Just sit back and enjoy :) From Turkey with love!

In the Beginning
kfordd15 April 2022
A slow burn as we are introduced to Sylvain Reynard's mercurial Professor O. Emerson, Julia, Paul and CFP (Christa). Love the building of drama as they interact and lay the groundwork for what is to come.

Job well done Passionflix, Tosca, Melanie, Giulio and all the actors and crew who brought this fantastic story to life.

My favorite part 😍
nleghait10 January 2021
The last part of Gabriel's hell is, in my view, the best part of the adaptation of this book. I didn't think the third part could surpass the first two but it does. The realization faithful to the book, the alchemy between the actors, the final stages in Florence are magnificent!!
