It is estimated that 15.6 million abortions take place in India every year, a major proportion of which is expected to be hazardous. So what's the solution? Men should start using condoms and women should ensure that they do so. A simple message is conveyed in a humorous style in #JanhitMeinJaari. Certain dialogues are truly chucklesome. The unnecessary drama towards the climax is a bummer. Nushrratt Bharuccha does a fine job as a condom seller. The supporting cast is also good. Running time needs to be reduced by 20 minutes. Rating 3/5.

Acting was great, a laughter and social issue touched by movie that we need to concerned about and remove taboo ! From the society, different from league... Usually movie revolve action and romance with the movie will remove certain prejudice which the people beholding and how as a developed society we beed to be on with certain so called taboo problem in India.

The film actually deserves a 7.50 out of 10. It's well directed. Nusrat as Manokamna did very well . She is chosen to act in unique scripts Janheet Me Jaari being one. Certain scenes are very good like how the actor says she would like to continue her job after marriage. She would be independent first in her life before getting married. She did door to door marketing in her initial days. I like the scene where Little Umbrella had sponsored condoms in a wrestling match. Hilarious scenes . She had excellent marketing skills but the movie took a good turn when Manokamna started creating awareness on unwanted pregnancies and abortions, need to use protection. Our country lacks awareness especially in the villages. By next year, India would be crossing China in population and would become the most populous country in the world. With limited resources like food and energy , it would create a strain on the country. Very good movie and should be promoted more.

Jst finished watching it and it was a great film. The film'z concept was really innovative and thoughtful indeed! Nushrat Bharucha has does a vry noteworthy job and acts vry well her dialogue delivery also is on point and she excels with her accent as well, Vijay raaz also leaves a mark with his performance, the rest of the supporting cast give a very wonderful performance and also vry praiseworthy for their comic timing,it was such a treat to see legendary Tinnu anand aftr so long though his role Is limited with dialogues bt catches attention as well. Talking about the negatives i would say the 1st half was way more lengthier and cld have been easily trimmed fr almost 15-20mins and due to thz the main concept gets sidelined because of adding some timepass plots tht wr not needed at all. Nevertheless Janhit Mein Jaari is a great one time watch with a vry good message tht really has to be aware to almost the whole world in general, nevertheless I rate it a 7/10 starz.

Nushrat bharucha should be given a standing ovation for selecting this project and giving such a stellar performance.
The entire cast has done a great job. Although the movie is a bit lengthy but it holds on to your attention to the last.

A comedy with socially pertinent connotation; the template Bollywood has been obsessed with in the recent past. Once upon a time, there was a phase in Bollywood when these social commentaries were the 'darlings' of the town, the most talked about! Having achieved consecutive success the producers started treating them as nothing but money-minting recipes. As a result, not only did creativity take a backseat, the authors too lost their hunger for giving rise to an authentic revolution in our society.
Thankfully, 'Janhit Mein Jaari' might bring that change of perspective we all were waiting for. It is cheerful, it is humorous, nearly all jokes land, exactly when and where they are meant to; and the most important thing is, that the message is well conversed and well conveyed. Yes, it may sound a bit preachy and pretentious at times, but trust me, for the most part, the film remained rooted and quite sincere in its way of handling stuff. Moreover, it got all the essential help from the ensemble as well!
Thankfully, 'Janhit Mein Jaari' might bring that change of perspective we all were waiting for. Please do give it a chance, it's a must watch!! You will love it. It's a laughter RIOT!!! Nushrat and their co stars have nailed their roles. It doesn't get a dull for any moment.. One of the best bollywood movies this year.

The movie surrounds a social issue of using protection during intimacy. There have been movies using this theme like "Helmet" and some others. The movie is nice and hit directly to the point of message delivery. And hits it right.
Some scenes were too fast and some were slow. This is what I felt. I can recommend it to any one at the age of 18 and above.

What a blunder on such a strong topic
It was a good mixture of raaj nushrratt Vijay Ishaan but all wasted as the plot was executed in a very low manner..the detailing of the subject was not patronised accurately all the major details were missing..the strong scenes or dialogues which hits the viewers mind was totally missing..there was huge place for humour but again wasted..naushrrat acted well..there were large expectations from Vijay..the makers tried to make it simple but it turned out to be boredom

So far the best movie of the year. Not sure y there r lesser shows in multiplexes. And the halls r empty?? It's a definite must-watch.

Cinema's job is to entertain yet bring into light the issues that are obvious but never spoken in bold.
The story takes a long road to tell what it wants to inform.nusrat is top notch...but not every one really prime her up well.

The movie is not as bad the rating I gave ! But I am giving it a very poor rating due to the messed up social message.
Condoms are protection primary and not for pleasure ( nothing wrong with it being used for pleasure, scented, dotted, ribbed all are for pleasure and nothing wrong with them as well).
But the movie failed to even mention STDs ! A movie about safe sex that does not even touch up of STDs ?
Secondly, the movie's focus was solely condoms as a means of contraception, but it does not even mention other forms of contraception ! It is asking women to ask men to wear condoms, not wrong, but there are contraception methods available for women ( IUDs, Pills, even female condoms) that the movie completely ignores.
Basically this was ill conceived and honestly a bit disappointment.

The flow of the storyline was not smooth. The first 15 minutes were a bit off-track, it became interesting in between, but after one and a half hour the comedy was just excessive. A serious issue got diluted by unnecessary comedy, and it ruined the movie as a whole.

And why the protagonist was an independent woman and still tolerated her unsupportive husband till the end.
The whole movie was pretty decent until the last scene.
We got the point, use condom, ensure the safety of women's health while doing abortion. But why you have to make it a awareness video?
But despite all the shortcomings, it delivered a strong message to indians. And thanks god, it was not some petty, cliche, propaganda about patriotism.

Despite the fact these kind of movies are easily predictable ( the main character winning in the end) the message the movie conveyed was very needy in today's day and age
though i don't agree that abortion is a sin they should have emphasised even more on the fact that its UNSAFE abortion being the one killing people.
But unfortunately they only sometimes said the word 'unsafe' while talking about abortion and made it look like abortion kills everytime and that woman are forced to take it and its not their choice
jokes were kinda lame and fall flat was boring in some scenes didn't really hit the mark i did enjoy all the songs.
Giving it 6/10 for the message and songs.

Literally amazing movie with hands down laughter in all the scenes even in few serious scenes as well. Amazing and really talented cast with amazing scenes and dialogues. Full paisa wasool movie for those who love to watch comedy and laughter with a desi tadka.

'Janhit Mein Jaari' is a focuses on an important topic. Hearty congratulations to the team for making a film on such a topic.
This movie is very interesting in both the halves. In the first half movie proceeds on a good motion. In this motion audience gets the clear idea of the plot of the film.
But in second half the film suddenly becomes slow. It feels that the film has lost motion to spoonfeed the audience on the plot.
According to storyline, Manu wants to get a job because she doesn't want to marry so early. Somehow she gets a job and becomes a sales executive of a condom company. But she can't tell this in her family clearly(quite natural). She meets with Ranjan and then they marry each other and evetually oneday her inlaws also get to know that she doe job in a condom selling company. Then, there is twists and turns in he story and lastly her inlaws gets the importance of condom with an unexpected incident.
Nusrat Bharucha is good in the character of Manu. She makes the film a pleasure to watch. She has played the character nicely. Altough sometimes lack of emotion is visible but overall she has done a goodjob.
Vijayraaz in the character of Keval Prajapati(Manu's father-in-law) is very pleasant. His subtle way of acting is very much pleasant to watch. If his character was a liitle more strong it could be more entertaining.
Teenu Anand in the character of Keval's father is good. He is mainly for subtle comedy punchlines.
Supporting cast could be more strong. Supporting characters don'tmake that muchimpact on storyline. Developers have all the focus on Manu and Keval character. Ending could is good but could be more dramatic. Music is average. It's nothing bad, nothing good. It leaves no impact on you.
Overall it's a good film for to watch. More such films should be encouraged.

The movie never put light on equal responsibility of a girl to opt for contraception. Purely gender biased movie, though fun but is indirectly disreputing mens socially.

A Well Made Entertainer

For my weekly dose of a cinema in the nearest theatre, I was set to watch a Malayalam film, unfortunately it got postponed for the umpteenth time. Hence from the available list of films I opted to watch for Janhit Mein Jaari which I went to watch without any expectation.
Since it was produced by the director of Ayushmann Khuranna starrer Dream Girl, I expected the same from this film as well.
Like Dream Girl, in this the female protagonist of the film, secures a marketing job for a product which is considered to be taboo in the society. After getting married to her lover the rest of the film showcases if the protagonist is able to change the mindset of her family and society as whole towards the product which in the beginning of the film starts casually.
In terms of performance Nusrat Bharucha, debutant Anud Singh Dhaka, Paritosh Tripathi & Vijay Raaz were the highlights of the film in terms of performance. Meanwhile the script provided laughs till the very end but the only drawback was that towards the end of second half it seemed to be stretched out, yet it turned out to be decent entertainer.
But the saddest part was despite watching the film on the day of it's release, less than 10 had come to watch the film. Perhaps poor marketing can be blamed for the box office failure.

Either watch it in private or with family but don't miss this especially the "launde-lapade". At some the movie seems a little let down but great actors and actresses always balances it out.

Quite an average movie, expected it to be better.
The Topic is good but a badly written and directed movie.
The story doesn't have a flow. It seems that the social message is forcefully shown just to get views.
Good performances by Nushrat Bharucha & Anud Singh but that too couldn't save the movie .
Worth skipping this one .

The story of a Bahu of a conservative family involved in condoms marketing. See .. such an intriguing concept it is. Ironically it remaints the good concept. In the era where the small town movies are given "genre" recognition (From bareili ki barfi, Ayushmans almost 50% of the movies, this is another CD in the stack with similar kind of mom, similar kind of supporting artist and what not !
The badly handled script writing, unwanted sub plots ,very cringy romance ,stereotyped casts make the movie bizzare where it should have been a good watch.
Nushrat chose a good concept this time coming out of the "Luv Ranjan's Shadow" but the script and dialogues ,editing have been a big let down of this movie. Please someone remake this movie and bring a fresher look.
The badly handled script writing, unwanted sub plots ,very cringy romance ,stereotyped casts make the movie bizzare where it should have been a good watch.

Janhit mein jaari is a comedy drama romance film directed by jai basantu singh.
Nushrat bharucha is a capable actor. She has proved it this time. Her dialogue delivery and expressions are apt and beatiful. Vijay raaz shines in the sequences he is in and dominates everybody. Anud singh dhaka is a hit and miss for me. But paritosh tripathi hits it out of the park. His comic timing is impeccable. The rest of the supporting cast are decent.
The humour in this film is really good. Sometimes over the top and sometimes subtle but it works most of the times. The writing though is a bit of a problem. The characters are not strong enough to make you root for them. The social theme is not fleshed upon much. It feels like separate scenes fit to make a movie. There is no proper continuation.
The dialogue writing is brilliant. As a result of which the humour works. There are multiple scenes in which the film is bound to make you laugh.
Overall, its a good film and you can watch it. I rate it 8 out of 10.
