So so...

Warning: Spoilers
This episode is watchable, but does not live up to the early promise of the first episode. It isn't the worst however, that "honour" goes to the final one...

Mother Abagail's death isn't very well handled in my view.

Like the society around them, things fall apart in terms of the drama, directing, acting and general cohesion.

There are a few "patriotic" moments which might strike chords with Americans, but they don't do it for the rest of us.

The character of Flagg is powerful in the book, but somehow not so compelling here. It is not an exaggeration to say that he sometimes has more menace as a crow, than in human form.

How do you solve a problem like the near end of the world?

Warning: Spoilers
In what has become a rather weird variation of the "Left Behind" theme, the third part of the Steven King novel just gets weirder and weirder with survivors showing up to join the elderly Ruby Dee on her quest to get to Colorado. Dee, showing such beauty and grace in her role of the saintly 106 year old woman, haunted by the arrival of the weird Laura San Giacomo, refusing to even hug her after greeting everyone else warmly. It's obvious that this character, who looks like a witch, is up to no good, and only Gary Sinise can help expose her, especially after a twist involving Dee's character changes this exodus. The twists and turns had me conflicted because I thought at the beginning that just was going to go in one direction, and it stayed here and it turned to several others.

So for those who have stuck with the miniseries through the first two parts and gotten into the third part, it's intriguing and hard to turn away from, but it's still so messy and as I said about part two very convoluted after it started off great. A very disturbing scene as corpses in Las Vegas being scooped up like garbage, and it's obvious that "Sin City" is representing hell on earth. Ray Walston's character gets better development after only a few scenes in the second part, and his wise character appears to be building up to be a big plot holder, unlike Dee's real life husband, Ossie Davis, almost nothing more than a glorified extra in this. Still, this is one of those TV mini series that had the potential to be something better but is definitely one you can't turn away from when you've invested 4 and 1/2 hours into it.

Not bad but the story slows down.

Warning: Spoilers
Not bad but the story slows down. Boulder was trying to turn on and get everything running. Well Harold has Flag influence dreams and seeks revenge on the good people of New Boulder. The population of Boulder wonder what Flag and Las Vegas population are up to? The Betrayal was a slower installment, which was building up for the series conclusion. The Betrayal picks up when Boulder sends 3 spies to see what the other city was up to, and Harold has a surprise to disrupt the Colorado city. The Betrayal is a must watch episode is a bit slow, but a must watch or you will be lost for the conclusion. The Betrayal I give six stars. Worth watching well acted and directed.
