This one lacked the meticulous planning, the hard work, the tension, the camaraderie n most imp the ruthless warden.

Also some scenes are unnecessarily shown repeatedly.

My personal fav prison escape movies are : A Man Escaped, Le Trou, The Great Escape, Brute Force, The Escapist, Escape from Alcatraz, Escape from Pretoria, McQueen's Papillon, Von Ryan's Express, Escape from Sobibor n Cool Hand Luke.

I don't consider Silence of the Lambs n Shawshank Redemption as prison escape movies cos they are more than just that.

I dont even consider Stallone's Escape Plan to be a prison escape movie.

Brakeout Brothers

Hong Kong prison break drama which is trying to be many things but it goes half way through everything. Watchable but with bad acting and somehow unnaturally forced dialogues.

I guess, it is not very often we can see the Hong Kong prison system on a big screen, so if you have any interests like that, maybe you will like it. I didn't really enjoy it!

Good prison break movie with laughter

Was recommended to watch this movie lately and know that there will be 2 more sequels coming. Good! Let's go watch. The movie is simple that 3 men are trying to escape from the prison, where another one (an architect!) is helping them. One of them is to go transplant the kidney to mother, one is to see her daughter getting wed and the last (the bad guy) is to go out as he is life sentences. The evolvement from enemies to friend is interesting. With the help of architect and knowing the weakness of the prison, they went out the prison finally! This one is with some comedy content and can relax for 90 minutes.

Now Idk what it was with this movie that gave me a thrill perhaps that I was jet-lagged helped too.

Anyways I really enjoyed this movie as it shows a Hong Kong prison being pretty brutal but taking a comedic turn and starting their plan. In their planning, the movie mixes in Oceans Eleven type of style with an old Hong Kong movie which felt pretty fresh. I gotta say tho the ending being a bit more serious was ok but not as great as the rest of the movie.
