Documents a system of corporatocracy and greed
nightdaycrawler17 September 2022
The documentary provides Perkins' account of his career.

His job at the firm was to convince leaders of underdeveloped countries to accept substantial development loans.

Perkins' function was to convince the political and financial leadership of developing countries to accept enormous development loans from institutions.

Perkins argues that these nations were effectively neutralized politically, with their wealth gaps driven wider and their long-term economies crippled.

The U. S. foreign policy and the notion of a system of corporatocracy and greed as the driving forces behind establishing the United States as a global empire, in which he took a role as an "economic hit man" to expand its influence.

The missing Link (TV, that is)...

Warning: Spoilers
Finally, an alternative to the mindless cacophony of commercial cable television- the missing Link between the People and The Truth- LINK TV! In just a few short hours, I've come to think of it as "think-mongering TV." It's overWHELMing. For the first time ever, I feel INFORMED instead of MISINFORMED by television. (Forgive me: Miracles have been few and far between in my life...) The lineup touches on taboo subjects the networks and cable "news" won't dare address. Ever wonder about the REAL politics of the powerful parasites who run this country, or the current corporate "social cleansing" going on around the world, or why War is more important than Jobs in this company- er, country, or why World Domination is so important to out National Financial interest...? HERE are some of the answers- uncensored, and from around the World (that great big place Out There). APOLOGY OF AN ECONOMIC Hit-man is exactly the kind of documentary you won't find on any of the Party news channels- and Perkins is about as gutsy a whistleblower as I've ever seen. That doesn't by any means exonerate him, but, to stand there literally surrounded by the people he has wronged (and to own up to his misdeeds to the daughter of one of the men he helped murder), takes far more guts than I have. This is one of those documentaries that has to be seen to be truly appreciated; an honest testament to the True Power of Honest Reporting.
