Dog Gone - Family Guy Episode Review
Gustavo_Lequerica29 November 2009
This is probably one of the best episodes I've ever seen because it deals with the dilemma of animal rights and animal cruelty. The episode it's center around Brian and how he sees that many people on a shallow level doesn't seem to care when he kills another dog by accident and throws the corpse in a ditch; after that Brian embarks on a crusade to promote animal equality but only to find that much of the people he invites to the first meeting of his animal right coalition don't cares about animals at all, that leads Brian to a depressive state where Stewie after committing a crime where leads to think the family that Brian died in a fire they only express how much they miss Brian, making Brian happy one more time.

There is one truth behind this episode even if it was shown in the most cruel way by exposing some sadistic sequences involving animal cruelty and that's how many people neglect the less wanted from society, maybe it was a little too much the graphic sequences involving animals and how they were killed but at least the message was given. On a side story Lois hires the unnamed housemaid that was shown in Stewie Kills Lois and we learn that her name is Consuela (voiced by Mike Henry) and she is dominant toward the Griffins.

The One Where Brian Accidentally Kills Another Dog...
taylorkingston14 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I really love this episode. It's funny and it makes some good points. Why don't people care when a dog gets run over? Why does no one ever get in trouble? I mean, they might, but I haven't heard of it, not lately, anyway. I really like this episode, mainly because it does bring up valid responses about animal rights and animal cruelty. And I do have to say that I got very upset when the dog died. RIP Random Dog.

In this episode, Brian is devastated after he accidentally runs over a dog, killing it, obviously. Brian is haunted by it. Stewie then pretends to be the dog's owner and asks Brian if he had seen him. After all the guilt Brian is overcome with, he admits his wrong- doing to the family and to Joe. He is shocked when no one cares that he killed a dog. They say things like, "It's only a dog. It's not the same as killing a person." Brian expected to get in trouble by the police, but Joe doesn't really care either. After Brian finds out that Stewie was the one messing with his mind, Stewie helps stage Brian's death in a fire, to make the family realize how precious a dog's life is.

Overall, I give this episode a 9 out of 10.
