More Madness from Andrey
brettlv55068 October 2010
Like a previous reviewer said, if you liked Andrey's previous efforts, you will like Ingression as well. I thought it was more akin to Nails than any of the other films. This is Andrey's love letter to the Giallo. The lighting effects are very effective in conveying a overall sense of dread. The action sequences are probably Andrey's most accomplished yet. The bizarre science fiction premise is thoroughly entertaining. There is even a Cthulhu/Legend of the Overfiend type rape scene. I cannot imagine why this film has yet to find distribution, fans of the bizarro world of Iskanov are sure to eat his latest offering up and come back for seconds. Of course, I am not entirely surprised that it hasn't received a release since most distributors would rather play it safe by offering the same regurgitated garbage than offering something completely original. If you find yourself lucky enough to have the opportunity to see Andrey Iskanov's Ingression, make sure that opportunity does not pass you by.

Best Andrey's movie

Warning: Spoilers
This is the best Andrey’s movie so far. If you liked his previous works, you will love The Tourist, no matter which movie is your favorite – surrealistic Visions of Suffering, or art house Nails, even if you liked his latest gore film Philosophy of a Knife. Here you find interesting and unusual plot; some well done action moments – bare hand fighting, shooting, chase scene; hallucinations; other worlds journeys; strange creatures and monsters; a lot of dynamics and a great actor’s performances especial from Svyatoslav Ilyasov, who does great transformation from good guy to the pure evil and from Andrey himself who does the same work as Svyatoslav but vice versa; …

And the last 40 minutes of movie contain brutal mass murder of whole family (father, mother, and two small girls) with shooting (shotgun and pistols), brutal rape scene and a lot of other crazy gore scenes.

Outstanding movie, with great atmosphere.
