Because this was an African American family being showcased on TV, I wanted to love them... BUT I like everybody minus the daddy. Maybe he's unaware that he comes off as inconsiderate & obnoxious hopefully that's just for the cameras. I don't like how his wife has to ask for permission as if he's the only one with income coming into the home. She wanted to start a business & instead of just going for it she had to ask her husband for permission & the funds like that's unacceptable. I love Gigi, older people are ALWAYS open & honest & that she is. I really hope they are done having kids. Bc in my opinion it's okay to have lots of kids if you can afford them financially but when you start producing kids with multiple health issues, esp issues that require surgeries, the decision to keep reproducing is reckless, irresponsible & unfair to the child.

Home schooling is not a good education. Religious wackos intentionally leave out important history and science. These kids need to associate with their peers and learn and get out of the house.
Indoctrinating kids to believe crazy religious crap just harms them in life.
The mother would have time to herself if the kids were at school.
There's no need to have so many children. It's impossible to give each child enough time with that many kids. It's like they're intentionally making life difficult for themselves.
All that being said, the kids seem very kind and everyone gets along well, which is nice to see.

How many more sick kids they gonna keep making. Obviously enough is enough. Gotta have the show to support them that's pretty sad. I had 1child. She had spina bifida that was enough for me to watch my baby suffer and be in pain. The chance was greater w more babies had I had any. I was smart enough to stop there and give all my attention to her not keep having sick babies I can't afford and make suffer. Stop y'all more babies more money huh. Ya their kids are an income . Sad.

Enough of these shows featuring irresponsible, over populating Christian families. The planet is in a terrible mess because of human selfishness and what we don't need is the making of celebrities of people who don't know what contraception is.
I couldn't bear the self righteous and ultimately messed up Duggars and I can't be doing with Duggars V.2 The kind of people who watch and enjoy this crap need to look at how the planet is being destroyed by us and species that are vital are being wiped out to feed oversized families and grossly obese people.

With the crisis of unwanted children in the system and the effects of overpopulation on natural resources, this unreality show that promotes overpopulation and narcissism is reprehensible. For those who enjoy watching it, get a life--foster, adopt, volunteer.

Finally, a show showing black families in a positive light! I love me some GG! I like how the children are allowed to be just that.....CHILDREN! I love how the parents respectfully communicate with each other (no matter who you agree with).

I love that they want to have a big family....if the babies were all healthy, the family could give all the children the attention they need, and they can financially support them all. At what point will they stop?! With babies being born with/ having medical conditions that need attention, mom's body suffering through the last pregnancy, a small house, and them not noticing the 3 year old had a health issue?!?! Like just stop! Your kids will grow up resenting you because you're not giving them the attention they need. I agree with GG! When is enough going to be enough. Your babies are at risk, not to mention the parents ages and the health issues anymore kids can be born with. Deon is sketchy and the fact he can't stay off his wife and can't see why his mom is annoyed with it says a lot about his character.

I love how the parents teach love & unity amongst each other!!! They also keep GiGi in high regard as the matriarch of the family. They show strength & how to operate as a unit. It's a breath of fresh air that they're a show that shows love & not a lot of bickering & foolishness. I LOVE IT!!!!

I really wanted to like this family and show, but they are beyond annoying. All they do is cry. How an anyone think they can have over a dozen children and several multiples and not have health issues with their children. They have been so lucky to not have more issues with their children, but all they do it cry over the problems they do have. Can't watch the self-pity party any longer.

Super mom and dad. Raising 14 kids is a huge job but they seem to have it all together. Some folks cant raise 2 kids but this family is amazing and their kids seem all to be respectful and have lots of joy and happiness.

I love this show. The joy, the love for each other, Karen and Deon as the solid foundation of the family. Greag respect for Karen, for carrying multiple multiples and still look as great as she does.
All the kids look happy, and seem to have a great relationship with each other. I wish them well, and thank you for allowing me a look into your life.

I love the Derricos! I think that Deon & Karen are great parents although I don't think they need to have anymore kids! Lol! It's a joy to watch the kids grow and experience life! I love the way that they are able to let their parents know how they feel. Growing up, you speak when spoken to and if given a directive, you just did what you were told. We were not allowed to ask questions or disagree with what adults said! These kids have their parents and they also have GG to share their feelings!! The only problem that I have with the show is the time it comes on! Too late for me and for kids!!!

I have watched the entire first season of "Doubling Down With The Derrico's". I was hooked on the first show! This family is filled with love and you can see it in their 14 children. It is very clear that the parents (Karen & Deon) love and care for all of their 14 children & each other. Every show was as different as the one before. Gigi (Deon's mother and the children's grandmother) is introduced into the show and what a blessing she is with the family. Through the entire 1st season, I found myself going through all different emotions. The last show of the season was a shock, and it left me with wanting to share my love for this family. The Derrico family is not a regular family. God has blessed them with 14 beyond beautiful children, and each one of them are filled with love. Is this an act? It is clear that it isn't. From the first show, I could see that this family is the real deal. Every ounce of energy that the mother Karen and the father Deon has, is put into their children. Their entire focus is their children and that shows. Every child is glowing with love. It pours out of them. The love and respect they have for each other is amazing and that seems to be missing in other family shows. Thank You Derrico's for sharing your love with us. You're a fantastic example of what a Strong Christian Family should look like. Keep shining and sharing that light you have. Great Job TLC for finding this wonderful family, and I am looking forward to watching many seasons of "Doubling Down With The Derrico's". All families have hard times in life, this family is no difference. What makes this family different - is they help their children work through the hard times and we are just blessed to be able to watch that transaction!

My family and I LOVE this show. It is good ole feel good television. Whether or not I agree with their decision to have multiple children (because that is truly a personal decision that shouldn't cause one to negatively rate a show), the children and the family dynamics are beautiful. We have enough trashy reality television shows (which people don't seem to have as much as a visceral reaction to as they do this family's decision to have multiple children). Therefore, it is sooooo refreshing to see a reality show where there is genuine love with children being raised in a warm and nurturing environment. Hands down, one of my faves!
