Mike Tyson is set to play himself in “Bunny-Man,” an offbeat superhero movie that is being shot in Italy.
The former heavyweight boxing champion on Tuesday attended a press conference held in the Northern city of Turin with Italian producer Andrea Iervolino and writer Enrico Remmert to announce “Bunny-Man,” which will be entirely shot in Turin.
Iervolino, whose production credits include Michael Mann’s “Ferrari,” Johnny Depp-starrer “Waiting for the Barbarians” and “Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend,” is producing the film via his TaTaTu shingle.
“Bunny-Man” involves a multimillionaire superhero who strikes against evil forces in anonymity wearing a rabbit mask, according to a provided synopsis. He is driven by the desire to avenge his sister who committed suicide after suffering a violent act, images of which wound up on the internet.

Sometimes a movie comes along and I feel as if Nerdly sends me these links on a dare. As if the gods are toying with me. Am I Job? Am I Sisyphus pushing that bolder up a hill? Am I a member of the A-Team? After viewing Bunnyman Vengeance I feel like a man punished for a crime he didn’t commit.
Bunnyman Vengeance is the third and final installment of the Bunnyman saga, a poorly connected string of empty, violence-driven films. Michael is a bunnysuit-sporting, badly disfigured psychopath, raised as an animal by his brothers. He hunts. He kills. He endures mental torture at the hands of his vile family. Why? I have no idea. At some point during the time spent writing this script, director and writer Carl Lindbergh forgot to add motivation,...

Midnight Releasing is set to unleash the demented Bunnyman Massacre this August on DVD and VOD across North America. Additional information is forthcoming.
Also known as "Bunnyman 2", the film is a drastically improved sequel to the 2011 cult hit Bunnyman, which gained notoriety from a huge amount of press as well as being in heavy rotation on the cable TV channel Chiller.
The Bunnyman character was inspired by the true story of an axe-wielding man in a bunny suit who terrorized residents of Fairfax County, Virginia, in 1970. Going wild with that inspiration, writer/director Carl Lindbergh and his company, Anoc Productions, created and released Bunnyman in 2011. Despite mixed reviews,...

Good day, damners of all things disagreeable with your stomach. According to at least five websites, today is Name Your Poison Day, which is certainly the least Socrates-friendly holiday of the year. For the record, my poison is bourbon, and I.m naming it Zeppo. It.s also Best Friend Day... and my selection remains the same for that one. In mini-news, Universal.s Olivia Cooke-starring thriller Ouija is hovering ominously on an October 24, 2014 release date. Radius-twc has picked up David Robert Mitchell.s It Follows, which gained all kinds of acclaim at Cannes recently. The Strangers writer/director Bryan Bertino is writing a screenplay for VFX mastermind Rob McLellan.s serial killer robot flick Abe. And finally, The Bunnyman Massacre, the sequel to Carl Lindbergh's "loosely based on a real killer" 2011 film Bunnyman, is getting a DVD and VOD release from Midnight Releasing on August 12. Carl Lindbergh's Bunnyman was one of the worst films this critic has ever seen (Bunnyman Review). Shortly after the release of this title, Lindbergh began developing a sequel to the 2011 film, titled Bunnyman Massacre. Apparently, Lindbergh has taken all of the feedback on his first film and applied it to this second feature: "This one is leaps and bounds (pun intended) ahead of the original" (Lindbergh). A preview of his latest is here. In the sequel, a second character has been added into the mix, Joe. Joe and the Bunnyman terrorize the locals around Fairfax County, Virginia. and there is no rhyme or reason for their violence. Can anyone stop the Bunnyman? Well, bad reviews for the original will not stop Lindbergh. This filmmaker has already started working on a third film in this slasher franchise. And, fans of indie slashers can find more on Lindbergh's work on the Bunnyman Massacre below.

2011 brought a lot of great horror films. From Stake Land to A Lonely Place to Die, there were a lot of films to watch and enjoy. 2011 also served up a lot of misery as well. Here at 28Dla, this reviewer has learned to dodge a few bullets in the movie world. Admittedly, this reviewer skipped Fred Andrews' Creature in theatres and the latest forced production of the Hellraiser series, titled Hellraiser: Revelations was also missed thanks to some early reviews. However a few films slipped under the radar or were shipped to the 28Dla HQ with little warning or previous info'. These are some of those films.
Some of the elements that made a terrible film this year were the inability to create tension or to create interesting characters. Without tension or thrills what is a horror film? As well, not providing any backstory for a character is a...

*a screener of this film was provided by Osiris Entertainment.
Director/writer: Carl Lindbergh.
If you handed an apathetic eight year old a camera and told him or her to shoot a movie, then you would come up with a film like the Bunnyman. This film is not terrible because of its budget or because of laziness, this film is terrible because director Carl Lindbergh is incompetent. Lindbergh does not know how to co-ordinate a film crew or cast to the detriment of the film's audio and characters. The sum of all of his ineptness is another entry into 28Dla's Worst Films for 2011.
Here is the film's story in seven words: six youths encounter a family of cannibals - the end. And these six characters would be classified as mentally retarded on most intelligence tests. When a character dies by murder they roll their eyes and mope about the screen.

What could be more strange than watching a man dressed in a playful bunny suit chase some young kids around with a chainsaw? The trailer for Bunnyman is full of the bizarre, as director Carl Lindbergh (Shattered Lives) blends the childlike with the horrific. The synopsis for Bunnyman is here:

If Easter Bunny, Kill! Kill! marked the commercial holiday icon’s first descent into the hyperbolic sleaze and depravity of the streets, Bunnyman takes the grassroots approach, restoring him to his woodsy roots. Bunnyman is the horrifying tale of a group of friends on their way back from a Las Vegas weekend driving through a remote southern California region that find themselves in a deadly cat and mouse game with a deranged, dump truck-driving, chainsaw-wielding cannibal in a bunny costume. And, no, it’s not a horror comedy.
Not based in any way, shape, or form on the Bunnyman urban legend, this Bunnyman is the warped vision of independent California filmmaker Carl Lindbergh.
Proclaiming to be heavily influenced by El Mariachi and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Lindbergh describes the film as follows: "Bunnyman is the story of a group of friends on their way back from a spontaneous weekend trip to Las Vegas, and while driving through the remote regions of southern California they suddenly find themselves in a sickening game of cat and mouse with a five ton dumptruck and, when looking for help,...
