What is a “makjang” K-drama? The TV series genre is best described as having exaggerated plots that “take things too far.” Fans will see dramatic characterizations, scandalous affairs, and intense murderous drama, often revolving around the filthy-rich elite who can get away with it all. Netflix’s revenge K-drama The Glory can be categorized as one, but there are plenty more to enjoy.

Lockdown, not to be confused with the Kevin Nash film Lockdown and so many others, has finally been released. Why do I say finally? Because production wrapped on it back in 2017. When a film that has marketable names in the cast sits on the shelf that long it’s usually a sign that it’s really awful or so artsy nobody knows what to do with it. And this ain’t no art film.
In a Los Angeles precinct Captain Davis is interrogating Cherry a hooker turned armed robber. Elsewhere one of the cops makes the mistake of trying to pick up some cash he sees on the floor only to end up dead and relieved of his cell keys, gun,...

Nineties nostalgia is strong. For some, it’s still a halcyon era that gave us chunky jewelry and some of the best in music. But as we’ve seen, discussed, and seen recounted in numerous documentaries about Britney Spears and Janet Jackson there’s a critical reexamination happening of the decade focused on the women used and abused for our entertainment.
“I, Tonya” director Craig Gillespie seeks to get at the truth of one the decade’s more infamous pop culture events, the Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee sex tape, with his Hulu limited series “Pam & Tommy.” Weaved within a story of sex and celebrity is a remarkably emotional tale of love, sadness, double standards, examination of rape culture and gender expectations that we’re still grappling with today.

Mumbai, March 9 (Ians) Hit director-actor combos are all set to be back in business this year. From Rohit Shetty-Ranveer Singh to Salman Khan-Prabhudheva and from Taapsee Pannu-Anurag Kashyap to Ranbir Kapoor-Ayan Mukerji, there are a host of teams lined up in some of the biggest projects, which have spelt magic at the box office in the past.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh feels this is always a boon. "It is always better to repeat 'jodi's. It doesn't matter if it is actors working again with each other or directors reuniting with actors. The expectation of the audiences increases and there is a curiosity. But, yes, at the end of the day it all depends on content. That has to be good," he said.

"Things that are below the surface, are better left that way..." Lionsgate has unveiled an official trailer for a "dark, gripping thriller" set on the sunny Carolina Beach in North Carolina. Find out the dull twists and reveals by watching this film on DVD. Starring Michael Paré, Vanessa Ore, Nicholas Turturro, Krista Grotte, Robert Fortunato, Irene Santiago, and David Schifter.
