Taking place Friday, January 18th, at the Showbiz Store La (500 S Sepulveda Blvd, Los Angeles, California 90049) at 7pm, the Zombie Family eight-episode horror-comedy web series, created and directed by filmmaker Joey Weisman (and featuring Todd, Vincent, Doug Jones, Reggie Bannister, Charlie O'Connell, Kerry O'Quinn, Jennifer Blanc and Diamond Dallas Page) will have its premiere debut screening as a compiled short film.
“I'm really excited to have the first public screening at HollyShorts,” said director Weisman, whom we visited when he was shooting Zombie Family last year (see our coverage from the set here). “It should be a fun event with great people and of course Zombie Family fun!”

We checked in today with Zombie Family writer and director Joseph Weisman to get an update on his horror/comedy series, which according to him may receive a possible feature treatment. Read on for the first word and some exclusive new photos!
Filmed this past April in Hollywood, California (see our coverage from the set here), Zombie Family was written and directed by Weisman and stars Mike Apple as ‘Bill’ (the zombie patriarch), actress Laura Napoli as ‘Betty’ (the unit's undead matriarch) and Chuck Lines and Allison Sharpe as the pair's teenage, zombie offspring. It revolves around the titular family, who attempt to navigate their domestic and professional lives while being, well, dead.

Arriving to a postcard perfect California bungalow in West Hollywood this past Monday, April 16th, I was already privy to the undead horrors I’d find inside, although I doubt the surrounding neighbors were aware that courtesy of filmmaker Joseph Weisman a Zombie Family had moved in.
Shooting day four of six of the intended horror/comedy web series Zombie Family, writer and director Weisman took time between filming a scene (in which a pubescent zombie finds some ‘alone time’ in the home’s bathroom to peruse the ‘Kill of the Month’ centerfold in Homicide Girl Magazine) to chat with us regarding the project, as did associate producer and makeup effects lead Frank Ippolito, actress Cerina Vincent, and more.
