One of the first images in the opening credit sequence is a police officer pointing his service weapon in the direction of the camera. That is actually Los Angeles Police Chief, James "Two-Gun" Davis, who served from 1926 to 1931.
The other prominent figure in the title sequence is the serial murderer Richard Ramirez, otherwise known as the "Night Stalker". He was charged with fourteen Homicides and Twenty-Two Sexual Assault across the state of California in the later part of the Twentieth century.
