Review of both parts:
This has a few flaws and is not the most exceptional story but it is solidly entertaining and has a wonderful aspect in that it brings back the Brigadier.
Sarah Jane and the Brigadier teamed up in the 1970s in Doctor Who stories with the Third and Fourth Doctors and the Brigadier had featured since the Second Doctor's era. He is a very important character in the show's history and is rightly very much loved. To see Nicholas Courtney back as the Brigadier and working with Lis Sladen as Sarah Jane is nostalgic, lovely and brings the show's past to a new audience is a really nice way.
The Bane are represented brilliantly by Samantha Bond who is great as Mrs. Wormwood. Their full alien realisation is less impressive but is ok. The plot is nothing special but provides fun, humour and entertainment.
My ratings: Both Parts 7.5/10.
