Fishbourne continues to impress
jakobgschwarz30 January 2009
When I found out William Peterson was leaving, I was thought the CSI was doomed. It is so hard to replace such an incredible actor. CSI (Las Vegas) has always been the best of the CSIs but without Peterson, it seemed that that run could be coming to an end. Well, Fishbourne certainly isn't Peterson, but he has done a wonderful job replacing him. He has class and style and brings a new and unexpected character to the show. The show is close to just as strong as it was in the beginning. This is a surprisingly strong episode. The twists are fabulous and keep you totally off balance. The story is strong and the characters pristine as usual. The episode has it's share of very intense moments, and is surrounded by a dark core. This episode shows exactly why CSI (Vegas) is the best. It has the best characters, the darkest stories, the deepest emotions. CSI NY is good to, but it still is not CSI (Vegas). I wish Catherine Willows would get more screen time, but hopefully that will still come In short, without Peterson, CSI has not lost much.

Series of Twists

When the lab is invaded by FBI agents who portray themselves as overly aggressive, they must walk a fine line. Apparently experience has taught them to watch their moves or be excluded. But when the truth is told we have one of the most bizarre episodes ever. There is a trafficking component that needs to be handled. I think Ray will continue to be a nice fit here. He is humble but driven to do well.

Lured by Lunatics

When a man is brutally murdered in the restroom of a gas station by a strong man, Catherine and Langston arrive at the crime scene to investigate the case. Soon Brass tells them that the victim is FBI Agent William Ray Hatford, and his shield, badge and weapon has been taken by the killer. Soon FBI Agents Beckman and Stanley disclose to Brass that Hatford was working undercover with human trafficking of girls from Brazil and they team-up. When Wendy sends the DNA of Agent Hatford to Quantico, she learns that he does not have any record, therefore his ID is fake.

"Disarmed and Dangerous" is a weird episode of "CSI", where LVPD and CSI are lured by a bunch of lunatics. Therefore, the plot is unreasonable for those that investigate crime scenes. My vote is seven.

Bad casting ruined it

It was a poor choice to cast Paula Malcomson whose acting was so terrible it distracted and she kept changing accents (when she wasn't supposed to....). The overall episode was strange and didn't feel right. Laurence Fishborne was not the problem as he was likable. But this is not an episode worthy of rewatching. Pass it by for better episodes.
