The new season has flaws

I have a few issues with the NEW season of Catch 21.

1. There is WAY too much purple on the set. 2. The hearts and diamonds on the cards are purple instead of red. 3. During the final portion of the game, the number of power chips the player possesses is not displayed. Also, the numbers and symbols on the cards are too small, making it difficult to see which cards have been dealt.

Finally, Whitney is nice and very pretty, but I miss Mikki Padilla.

Could Be Better.

I enjoy the show but find it annoying to some degree. Nikki was far better than Whitney because she showed more personality and came across as having much more fun. Whitney is dull and somewhat full of herself in my opinion. If Whitney stays, please stop the very annoying dancing at the beginning. No one cares that Whitney and Alfonso were on a dance show together. It's a game show. Bring back Mikki and in the final round keep the first 21 at 2500 dollars. Finally, at the end of the show, please have Alfonso stop the relentless, repetitive, never ending rambling about "what would have happened "

I do like game shows to a certain extent when it involves trivia. Swearing a bunch in Jeopardy, guessing on Millionaire, but I don't like game shows that involve luck and risk. At that point it isn't about how smart you are anymore, but how much you're willing to gamble.

This show seemed entertaining at first, although after watching did seem pretty slow watching a chick flip cards and figuring out what 17+5 equals... This was a VERY original concept from word associations and hardcore trivia, but the idea dies out after a while.

Now for the reason most of us are here.......... I had just started to watch The Fresh Prince starting from ep 1 tonight, already on ep 8. It's good to see the little dark guy got some screen time in something I've watched after Prince. Funny and somewhat queer, Carlton grew on me. Didn't exactly bring all the humor over from the 90's but gave the show some time to last a week

I just find it to be so boring.

There's nothing particularly bad about Alfonso, but he really doesn't impress me. His presence is so lacking that he just feels like he's there, but that's all. Nicky is just annoying. No it's, ands, or buts about it. She wasn't needed to make the show work, and she just irritates me. The format of the show is poor as well. It's not interesting. The questions are almost entirely pop culture hoopla and aren't really very interesting. But, by far, the most annoying factor in the show is the contestants. It's quite clear that the behind the scenes staff is telling them to ham it up. Often times, this leads the contestants to either be extremely annoying or extremely hateful and rude. Either way, it isn't likable. I never find myself wanting to root for any of these people. Quite frankly, I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if the show is as rigged as others have claimed. It FEELS rigged. There is just this underlying feeling that they stack the deck in favor of the contestants they want to win, while making everything work against the contestants that they want to lose. That may not be the case, but that is the general feeling I get while watching it. Other people may love this show, but I find it detestable.

Love the show and host however Mickey dresses cheaply for daytime she looks like a lady of the evening if you get my meaning. Not appropriate

Fun game show

First off, I must say that this is a fun game show. Also, I haven't seen every episode. However, I do know the show very well. Every time I've watched it, I've had a lot of fun playing along and watch. This makes me long to be a contestant. The thing I like most about it are guessing the words as letters are gradually given. When it goes off the air, I hope some network brings it back so I can play along and watch again. If that happens, I will be really happy. Before I wrap this up, I'd like to say that I'll always remember this show in my memory forever. Now, in conclusion, I hope that you catch it one day before it goes off the air for good.

The new Version sucks.

I do not understand why they changed the rules of the game. It was successful in the old version. And it was more fun in the old version. The new gal isn't as good, she's too sedate. They don't really make use of the audience like they used to. The host is not as animated as he used to be. He dressed more casually before and I had more fun with a show. I like the old Format of multiple choice, and of giving a chip for each game you won plus 1 for winning the whole thing. I'm writing this because we watch the old version, but we almost never watch the new version. My husband feel the same way about the new show.

Nikki is much better at her job than the dippy blond in the new version. Also we like seeing the audience instead of a backdrop. So can the new version and go back to this one.

Unwatchable

This so called game show became unwatchable. The best a player can do is win $1000. That's not bad. However, the strategy is to get to the final round in hopes of winning $25k. To do this the player must draw cards hat add up to 21 three times. Very similar to black jack. Alfonso Robiero (spelling) is the host and does his best to be enthusiastic offering three players trivia questions typically from pop culture. If they guess the right answer a card is drawn. If they happen to get a combination of cards that equal 21 they win. There is no strategy in drawing the cards. The lovely lady that draws the cards has no special skill she just pulls the next card and flips it to reveal its value. The value can range from a 2 to an Ace (the Ace has a value of 1 or 11). It amazes me that this game show lasted as long as it did over 12 yrs. The chance of drawing 21 is very slim with the highest winnings being $6k. To win $6k you have to draw 21 twice in the final round. There is no shuffling of the deck the deck is just there and you assume it's been shuffled. On the rare occasions when 21 is drawn three times the enthusiasm is strained. The host congratulates the player and that's it. There's no climatic celebration w/confetti nothing. How about a fun game of Tic Tac Do?

Your one questiion about the motto Be Prepared was answered correct by the player. This motto is both the Scouts BSA and the Girl Scouts.of America. I know this is an old episode but you need to get the facts correct for them to answer right. Not sure if this would of helped the person win but he was right first. This show is exciting to watch. You need to lower how many characters you need in a review because it doesn't take that many to say a question was wrong. Like I said this is an exciting show to watch and everyone gets into the show. Please don't take it off the air because I do like to watch it.

Disaster

The new version is unwatchable. Alfonso tries to hard to be someone he is not. It's Just a game show. The dance steps at the open are meaningless and Alfonso has no interest in the contestants. To bad, it was a decent game show at one time.

Rigged

Although I'm a woman, I feel this is really disproportionately rigged towards women with "luck". How else do women magically win 95% of the time? This doesn't happen in other shows. Annoying and it's extremely obvious. It seemed to be that way to a large extent with gsn's chain reaction too, although not as much to an extent as this show. Why can't they do a balanced game show like other companies?
