The caveman custom of dragging their women by their hair irks stranded astronaut Hector (Jack Mullaney). He urges the men to treat them like a lady, which delights women Shad (Imogene Coca) and Mlor (Mary Grace). This causes a fight between Shad and her husband Gronk (Joe E. Ross). Fellow astronaut Mac (Frank Aletter) agrees that Hector shouldn't have budded in to their business, but sees now it's best to show Gronk how Shad wants to be treated. They teach Gronk modern-day romance techniques. Shad's silly baby talk to Gronk is comical and makes Boss (Cliff Norton) and Clon (Mike Mazurki) think she has moon fever. When she explains to them that "this is how men treat women on other side of hill" they laugh at her, making Gronk resort to the customary way he knows. Gronk is thrown out of his cave by his wife and fittingly takes Hector's bed- other cavemen follow. The astronauts now must figure how to get Gronk and Shad back together. They hold the first prehistoric wedding, but complication ensue when Hector frustratingly opens his big mouth again. I wondered to myself watching the first episode what prolific grumpy character actress Kathleen Freeman could bring to the show- and here she is to my surprise. She portrays Boss' Wife (Kathleen Freeman), but is given nothing to work with in the script.
