New Haven Can Wait (#2.6)

Warning: Spoilers
This was a very entertaining episode. I liked watching Serena and Blair competing on Yale campus and their fights were too funny. Nate dealing with people being mad at his father and Dan getting a bit of trouble out of it was also pretty fun. Especially with Dan being tied to the statue or the scene where he walks in on the girl and Nate pretending to be Dan. Jenny getting her dad's permission to be home schooled was a good thing. We can now watch her career start when she is so young. Rufus and Lily meeting in this episode was once again beautiful. One can always feel a connection when they talk. And it was of course Lily's words that changed Rufus's mind. Jenny knew where to take him.

another message for Taylor Momsen

Yeah, The Raven would just like to point out that the dress they made you wear, had a bad cut for your particular shape* since it looks dowdy hand-me-down and not flattering at all. Sure you looked great in it, because YOU yourself look great. The dress? Bah!

Viewers cheering for Serena in the catfight should please remember that Blake Lively is twice the size of Leighton Meester. Okay, now I am exaggerating, but nevertheless, they're pretty unevenly matched when it comes to a showdown. Leighton wouldn't stand a chance...

At least someone got a beautiful dress. Fans of Kelly Rutherford have plenty to still ooh and ah about. But if you haven't yet, you should see her in MELROSE PLACE. Her first appearance, jogging on the beach. Those were the days.

That hat Blair wore. I'm pretty sure it was inspired by that thing Stacey Dash had on her head in CLUELESS. Kinda like a California Highway policeman. Talking about Blair, as a total Johnny-come-lately, I only this week saw Leighton Meester in the second episode of ENTOURAGE and really, wow, the word "angelic" comes to mind, and that's another viewing experience The Raven crows about and would advise.

Pretty actresses. "I hate your stupid headband!" They're thoroughly entertaining. I love the show.

Jealousy

Warning: Spoilers
Blair is soooo childish in this episode and so nasty and ungrateful to everybody, especially Serena. It's clear she's very jealous of Serena. Serena always puts her life on hold for Blair and she had every right to go to orientation at Yale. We all know she doesn't end up going to Brown anyways. I wish that Serena ended up going to Yale and did not have any problems with anybody. Fairly childish and boring episode. Season 2 had some amazing episodes but this is not one of them and the story line around Dan & Nate was not good. However, I do like how Chuck acted in this episode. Chuck is always perfect and it's nice that he temporarily had Nate's back.
