Netflix's New Great Anime
masonbernhardt14 September 2022
Wow what a surprise. I honestly have never seen a show quite like this. It's a little bit like Arcane but in the Cyberpunk world with the classic anime animation. This episode really brings together the first 4 episodes and it was great. The characters are very well developed in such a short time, very impressive. I love the music so far in the show and the action is some of the best I've seen in animation.

I really like David he's not your stereotypical anime protagonist and I really appreciate that. Lucy is also a highlight she seems like a very complex character that we will learn more about as the series goes on.

P. S. Definitely smoke a little weed while watching you'll thank me later.

Gets better and better!

Okay so i started watching this show, despite not having played the game OR knowing much about in general! I am however a massive fan of the Blade Runner movies, Akira and Ghost in the Shell, and thought this was right up my alley.... and so far it is!

The animation is surprisingly good and i love the soundtrack, that fits really well within this World! There is a lot of atmosphere and this show just has a unique vibe! Deffinetely not something you will forget soon after!

While the first episodes establishes the premise and our main character, David, this episode sets the story in motion and paves the way for Davids journey! His relationship with Lucy also develops further! Amazing action sequence that just came out of knowhere and left me shocked! The action is really well done in this show!

A solid episode

A great episode that fleshes out the crew as well as kickstarts what I assume to be the main romance of the show in a way that didn't feel cheesy or forced. Glad to see the main character develop as a character as well, hes really coming into his own as a character.

Studio Trigger as always has done a great job with the animation and the backgrounds in particular are just gorgeous and complement the characters so well. The show keeps on getting better and better and I can feel this show ramping up to something big, cannot wait to see where this goes. Definitely the best animated content this year so far.

Out of all the episodes so far this is my least favourite which is amazing to say. I say this as this episode was still a solid 6/10.

I thought the action was fine like always. The development of both David and Lucy was a little rushed i felt but for an anime that is only ten episodes i guess it's not abysmal or anything. I just though that it progressed way to fast.

The little cameo was cool and i adore the fact that pretty-much all (if not all) of the locations show in the anime are present in the video game (Cyberpunk 2077).

Overall a solid episode and although it is my least favourite so far it is a credit to the anime as this episode is still a solid 6/10.
