Good episode
Just-A-Girl-1424 July 2023
I enjoyed this episode. We got some explanation as to what exactly happened to the characters in the past five years.

I love Karen so I'm very interested to find out what will happen to her. Hopefully she'll get back at Dave. I'm also curious to know when will Edie start to suspect Dave. So far he seems to be in full control of her but I don't think it's going to last long. She is suspicious in her nature so she's about to start figuring out her husband has another agenda.

As for Susan and Mike, I'm starting to think that it wasn't Mike who drove the car. It was probably Susan and Mike just took the blame. The stop sign was on the ground so it must have been an innocent accident but since Susan seems to feel more guilty than him it's probably because she was the driver.

Good solid episode!

Season 5 delivered the goods.

Warning: Spoilers
I like season 5, it has the same charm of the early seasons, and that flash forward was crucial to give a new dimension to characters that became stereotypical. In Mirror, Mirror, the season finally give elements to explain how the desperation of the leads, grew over the years. And why some of them changed so much. Susan is more assured and mature, and I like that. And maybe Mike leaving her was for the best, to help her character grow. Also I love Teri Hatcher's look this season. The hair, the makeup, the outfits. It's the new and improved Susan. Lynette however, is probably the only housewives, who hasn't learned from past mistakes. And now it is evident why Tom will leave her as well. I'm sad to say that Bree is my least favorite lead. She used to be such a great and complex character at first. But now I only find her whiny and self righteous. Eddie improved too, and I love how tragic her character is, considering she unknowingly literally sleeps with the enemy. Gabby is still my favorite, and even though she's the bitter one, it's understandable considering everything she's lost. Hell, even Bob and Lee grew on me. The rest of the male characters still compliment their female counterparts perfectly, but I must admit that Dave is the most polarizing. The way he drove Karen crazy, and showed remorse while sticking to his plan, was one of the highlights of the episode. I also love Gale Harold's addition, but can't help but think of his character on QAF... Katherine is too withdrawn so far this season, so my favorite moments of hers are not there yet.
