The idea of a zany mockumentary about competitive wiffleball seems rife for the comedy stylings of star-director combo Will Ferrell and Adam McKay (Anchorman, Talledega Nights). However, in this case, the subject was tackled not the by FunnyorDie.com founders but by one member of their stable of video short stars, Ross Patterson. He both wrote and stars in Screwball: The Ted Whitfield Story, and while it does contain many marks of that Ferrell-McKay borderline offensive and always bizarre humor, it also showcases a rusty hand that needs practice and perfection.
Screwball is in many ways a perfect B-movie comedy. It strikes the perfect balance between those Ferrell-McKay blockbusters (face it, that’s what those films have become) and an informal improvised shoot between a group of friends who really don’t know much about filmmaking but know how to be funny.

Following on the heels of popular "historical reimaginings" like Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter comes a new one that, if nothing else, has a great title. Fdr: American Badass. So what is the 32nd president hunting? Find out after the jump. Fdr will be hunting werewolves which apparently includes the likes of Hitler and Mussolini. Apparently he rolls in a "wheelchair of death." We like that. Script comes from writer and actor Ross Patterson (Screwball: The Ted Whitfield Story).
