Watch: Bomb-Sniffing Dog Named in Honor of 9/11 Hero Adorably Snores Away After Keeping Airport Safe
This video of a Tsa bomb-detection dog is so cute, it’s off the leash!
On Wednesday, the Transportation Security Administration popular Instagram shared an adorable video of an explosives detection canine, named Ttirado, enjoying a well-deserved slumber. The Black Labrador has been working to help keep the Indianapolis International Airport safe since 2014.
“Work like a dog. Sleep like a human,” the agency captioned the footage. “Good boy, Ttirado. You’ve earned your zzzzzzz’s.”

What a Good Boy. Will Stoltenberg had posted on Reddit this week a before and after photo of his new rescue puppy Clefford, a pit bull mix who had recently undergone surgery to fix a cleft palate. The procedure was done at the Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston. "Clefford was in the shelter for at least three months," Stoltenberg told E! News exclusively. "I was drawn to him because I wanted to be able to help him overcome his 'disability.' I wanted to show him that the world is filled with fun and possibility. To be able to be the person that provides a great life to such a special pup was important to me." "The surgery happened before I was able to adopt...

Cooee Poldark! Isn’t that out-of-control dot on the horizon none other than old flame Elizabeth, belly fit to burst with the fruits of the illicit night you shared last series, on a runaway horse heading for the cliff edge? Make haste sir!
To take a heartless view, were Elizabeth and her under-the-table baby to gallop off a precipice into the crashing waves below, it might not be the worst thing in the world for Ross Poldark. His wife Demelza, despite her innate goodness, would be able to see the silver lining of such a tragic event at least.

Though some people may be unaware, there’s an awards ceremony held every year to honor the true heroes behind our favorite films: the marketing team. That’s right, the Golden Trailer Awards hand out statues to those who work tirelessly putting together trailers, commercials and posters for hundreds of releases each and every year. And not just in film, but video games and TV, too. It’s an incredibly comprehensive ceremony as well, with awards for a whopping 116 categories. Yes, 116 – though not all of those are given out on stage.
The nominations for the 18th annual edition, set to go down on June 6th at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills, are now in and it seems that Warner Bros. is leading the pack amongst the various studios, scoring an impressive 68 nods in total, 11 of which come from The Lego Batman Movie – the most of any title to be nominated.

Animals live among us, often with us, some despite our interference in their habitats. They’re independent organisms that are often subject to our rules. This is especially true when it comes to television.
How we use and portray animals on TV perhaps reveals more about ourselves than the qualities they contain. Are they brought in to round out a nuclear TV family, or do they have greater narrative significance? Do they have personalities or are they plot devices that advance the story, and then forgotten? Do characters regard them with any real feeling?

IndieWire examined how the animal kingdom fared on our screens this year from a storytelling point of view, and determined which portrayals were the most significant. Because of this narrative aspect, we focused on two types: fictional animals whose characters were created for the purpose of the show, and non-speaking animals.

Shameless returned this week after choosing not to compete with the Oscars. Let me say that this was one of the most disjointed episodes of Shameless I have ever seen, but it did still have some sweet emotional moments. Queenie continues to wreak havoc over the Gallagher household, and Fiona takes on the new challenge of getting Sean’s son to like her. What a challenge! Fiona is so used to just bossing her siblings around that it’s really never a question if they like her or not. Will really doesn’t like Fiona, and Fi understands why, but nothing really improves

On Sunday (December 27) the “Skyscraper” songstress took to her Instagram account with a beautiful photo, along with a message- "I miss you so much already beautiful boy ... When I first met you 6 years ago, I was intimidated by your size and your strong presence. Likewise, Wilmer shared his thoughts in a lengthy post- “Yesterday, I said goodbye to my handsome boy Spawn, this year has been quite a roller coaster.. Lots of emotions and lots thresholds crossed. This boy was there for it all.. 8 years worth of memories and ups and downs.

The horror lover inside of me wants to defend The Lazarus Effect against other mainstream failures, but the critic in me can’t let that happen. It’s a mess, but not on the catastrophic level of so many other generically churned-out teenage slashers (like Ouija or The Pyramid).
Director David Gelb strives to fashion together something more, something that blends the conflicting ideologies of religion and science in a heavyweight debate, but scribes Luke Dawson and Jeremy Slater didn’t get that memo. The talents of Gelb are outweighed by the overbearing redundancy of Dawson and Slater’s nostalgically horrendous script, as the fires of Horror Film Hell engulf yet another misguided victim. Blumhouse is so close to something special with The Lazarus Effect, but unfortunately, it’s still oh-so-far from heavenly.

This would be the motivation we need to get movin’!

If that isn’t click bait enough to make you watch – we got a baby, we got a dog, there is a promise of cuteness ensuing – then we don’t think anything would be. Does it sweeten the pot if we say the baby’s little legs are extra chubby?

Actor Gérard Depardieu is being considered for a Russian fantasy feature.
Actor Gérard Depardieu has come into the sights of Russian producer Yuri Kuznetsov-Taizhnov of Pervaya Kinostudia (First Film Studio) for children’s fantasy film Games Of Time. Exile by the newcomer Alexandr Olkov.
The project, which is budgeted at $2.6m (RUB90m) and reportedly has $1.5m (RUB50m) already in place, was presented by Kuznetsov-Taizhnov as one of 15 features looking for production support from the Ministry of Culture at its public pitching for children’s feature films.
The producer explained in the pitch that the film about a little girl from another world arriving unexpectedly in our reality is intended to be shot in IMAX 3D, although he reportedly admitted that the film’s budget could mean the makers would have to choose between either Depardieu or the big-screen format.

There are certain characters on “Game of Thrones” who could probably have been played equally well by a few dozen actors across the UK and Europe. Then there are the ones who, because of certain traits given to them by author George R.R. Martin, needed a very specific combination of talent and physical appearance. Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister is obviously one of those, and Gwendoline Christie as Brienne of Tarth is another. At an imposing 6’4”(*) with icy blonde hair and large blue eyes, Christie makes an impression, and is absolutely convincing as the stoic warrior who keeps beating up all the men who underestimate her. (*) Tall actresses often wear flats to downplay their height, but when I interviewed Christie, she was wearing heels, making her even taller, and one of the few actors of either gender I’ve ever had to look up at. Christie and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau had...

Well son of a diddly, I just plum forgot about last week’s Poster Friday. No excuses, I was too busy looking at all the great Blu-ray/DVD deals online and not buying anything. I’m…not sure why I do that, it’s just a giant tease. Although I am proud of myself for not buying anything. Good boy Kevin.
And now, back to our regularly scheduled Poster Friday!
I didn’t see Candyman until somewhat recently (I know, I know. It was pretty great though) so I immediately went searching for posters and found this rather great one by Justin Erickson.
What an awesome poster for The Abominable Dr. Phibes. Love Story had come out the year previous and I can only assume their tagline is mocking that film.
Finally…we end off with one of the greatest sequels of our time…Stepfather 2: Make Room For Daddy.

When Max Gaines died in 1947 from a boating accident he left the family business, EC Comics Company, (which stood for alternately Entertaining Comics and Educational Comics) to his son William “Bill” Gaines. Rather than follow in his father’s footsteps and publish illustrated bible adaptations for the little ones, he instead published graphic horror, crime and science fiction comics that, keeping true to the company name, were both entertaining and educational (nearly all stories had a moral and the evildoer always got his comeuppance in the end). Titles included Tales from the Crypt, Vault of Horror, Weird Science, Weird Fantasy, Shock SuspenStories, Two Fisted Tales and a little humor book called Mad Magazine. Crude and violent, it was only a matter of time before parental outrage would bubble and burst into a torrent of censorship. Just before the release of The Muppets movie last November, it was announced that NBC had ordered a script for a brand new television series titled The New Nabors (in homage to late Andy Griffith Show actor Jim Nabors), a single-camera sitcom about a family who are aghast that their new neighbors are Muppets. Not too much seems to be known about the show, but the script is being written by John Hoffman (Good Boy!) and John Riggi (30 Rock). The Muppets made appearances on various programs in their early years, including The Jimmy Dean Show, Saturday Night Live, and obviously Sesame Street, before Incorporated Television Company in the UK gave them a shot with The Muppet Show. Since then there have been feature films, television movies and one brief program, Muppets Tonight, on Disney Channel. But what can one expect from a new Muppet-centric program in this modern age? If you’re a John Scalzi nut like me then you know that his new book Fuzzy Nation, a re-telling of H. B. Piper’s classic Little Fuzzy, hits stores on May 10th. If you’ve never read any of Scalzi’s work, this book will be a good time to jump in on the fun.
