A clip show
juanjomogus23 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is a entired clip show, it shows like 10 episodeos, and the only new scenes is like the 1/4 part to the movie, and the characters are very bland, the reporter is the most bland

is like a 90 minutes trailer

the final was very boring and theres no direct continuation for the new season (not like the final episodeos of before seasons)

(and sorry for my english)

wacky crazy kids movie
SnoopyStyle29 July 2020
Chuck is meeting a cute reporter in a restaurant after his Cast Away situation. He tells her about befriending two bugs, red and yellow. There were a female bug, a seal named Clara, an alien Transformer crab, and various other creatures on a small island.

This is the craziest stuff. It's a Korean animated movie from a franchise about which I know nothing. It has countless fart jokes and farting is an integral part of the plot. It is fart-o-rama. When the alien turns into Transformer crab, one has to surrender to the madness. It's an overload of craziness. I even grow to accept the weirdness of the worm tongues. It's a weird movie. I'm not sure if kids would like this. I had some fun despite myself.

Ideal if you are under 5 years old
faer_kr23 July 2020
A crazy Korean animation. It's about a castaway who tells his story of how he survived on a desert island for five years in the company of some larvae. Crazy The animation is of excellent quality. It is a movie for children 5 years and under, with exaggerated flatulence jokes, although it can entertain you as an adult, many things are so unlikely that they can be pathetic. Although he handles themes for adults such as love, disappointment, deceit, jealousy. Empathy and friendship work in an unsuccessful way. Not recommended if you don't like animation or if you're under 5 years old.

90% of this film is larva island series recap
ypcgwhvh23 July 2020
The other 10% is in New York, main character recapping time on island with a reporter wanting to write a book. Don't expect new content, you will be disappointed.

95 percent old content
jonnyben24 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Even advertised as "coming soon" on Netflix this movie is 95 percent cut and paste from the series. What is the point of making this so called movie? No point in watching

Don't watch this smelly cocktail of old episodes. Lucky that we don't have to pay extra for this crap...

Appauling
deanswr22 August 2020
This movie was appalling and should locked up and thrown overboard into the middle of the ocean. I put this movie on to stop my kids from fighting and screaming at each other but the constant screaming of these, things, gave me PTSD. I walked away after 30 minutes. If you want a nice, relaxing movie to watch with your kids DONT watch this one. In fact, don't watch it at all.

Good storyline but too much of annoying screamings
sisubalan29 October 2022
Not bad. Never watched this cartoon before even when it was constantly kept playing on tv every weekend morning. Didnt expect they made a movie out of these annoying worms. Tobbe honest, i still dont like these two worms not because of how it look, but because of how it scream (very high pitched - extremely annoying screaming). Characters design wise, just normal and nothing spectacular. Just three simple worms, an alien robot or crab, human and other animals. Mediocre sound scores, good original song. Animation style was okay, a bit outdated. Bright tone setup with good storyline. To be honest, i enjoyed this movie except for the constant screamings. Recommended.

Another worst animation film! Too many boring conversation, and annoying overuse scene! Not recommended!
kwenchow5 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This film start with a bug grabbing it's food, and a man "Chuck" chatting with a reporter "Grace" at the restaurant scene! As turnout, this film is about Chuck telling the story he need to survive on the island with three larva, a seal, and an alien! Entire film full of boring conversation, and annoying overuse scene! Such as, overuse of the playing dumb scene, overuse of the farting scene, overuse of the struck by lightning scene, and overuse of the blackout scene! Make the film unwatchable! Barely laughable scene is, Chuck accidentally burn down his own escape boat! At the end, the reporter publish the story of Chuck survive on the larva island! That's it! Wasting time to watch!

For people new to the show
markg159626 July 2020
I had never heard of the show before I watched the movie and so, unlike some of the other reviews complaining that it is like a 'clip show', I didn't know what to expect. The movie had me and my family in hysterics and once we finished it we searched for the series and continued with the hilarity. Totally recommend this to anyone that likes slapstick and silly humour. One for all ages.

To call this a movie is a LIE!!!
bgillmore27 July 2020
This is nothing more then a bunch of clips from previous seasons with an additional 10 minutes of wrapper. If you caught up on all the seasons don't even bother watching this. WTF Netflix, I know your standards for original programming is low, but just rehashing a bunch of episodes and calling it a movie is just a LIE.

Why did you guys have to break our hearts with this so called "Movie"?
hiillsno11 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
We wanted to see stuff like Chuck's backstory; like him and Clara? Why was he was on a ship? Where was he going? He was missing for 5 years and Clara still got back with him? (Not that I was unhappy about it but you guys could of wrote and animated something to show us)? We didn't even see how that even happened? How she reacted to him just appearing? Worst of all, Y'all showed Red and Yellow back in the sewers at the end? THEY LITERALLY drifted off and rocketed off somewhere else!? How could they end up back in the sewers? This Movie was just a bunch of the old Larva island episodes? How can y'all call that a movie? It's not a Movie! That's literally just a hour long recap! Before this movie even came out we were so excited and anxious to see what you guys would show us. Where would Red and Larva end? If Red would ever see Mango (his girlfriend) again? How could y'all do this to us? This series was hilarious and we literally got a kick in the stomach with this so call movie? It's just upsetting. Please at least tell us if you all are working on a new series and that Red and Yellow didn't really end up back in the Sewers? Please don't end this hilarious and amazing series like this? Please! Please give your fans some hope. The show can't end like this? Please tell us Thank You

What did I just watch??
mj-mciver18 October 2020
Wow words can't describe how awful this is. Even my 6 year old didn't like it and he says everything is good. Save yourself the time and pot a plant. Take up knitting. Even a good power walk around your garden would be better than seeing this.

When you're a parent and need a break from your toddlers this is a great movie to keep them busy for a little while plus I also enjoyed watching it with my two boys.

Awful, not funny, two stars because kid laughed
josh_harrop-500863 June 2022
Straight up awful. Awful (but colourful) animation, awful script, humorless "comedy". Lazy horrible movie.

It's one redeeming feature is my 6yr old liked it but that more reflects the imbecilic quality - think tellytubbies with fart jokes. This sort of rubbish hasn't passed as entertainment for 30yrs since Disney etc started making clever and entertaining movies like Aladdin then later witty animations like Shrek.

Just ... don't.

This is surprisingly heartfelt. It was an imaginative, delightful journey, full of fart jokes, and hilarious. It keeps surprising you. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Don't look away or you'll miss something. It's non-stop fun.

Lovable and funny
gareth-tootell31 July 2020
Aww, I loved this movie! Yeah there's a lot of slapstick humour yes... but it's funny. I laughed out loud all the way through. If that's not your thing then there's just great lovable characters to invest in. Bound to be a bit of a marmite film but delicious for me 👍🏻

10/10 for first time viewers
grantmangec31 July 2020
10/10 for those that haven't seen Larva Island the series. If you have seen the series you'll be rewatching mostly recycled content in this movie. Still, it had been a while since I'd seen the series so I still enjoyed. A great movie as a standalone which is how people should be rating it.
