The Three Days Rule (#4.21)

Warning: Spoilers
The episode already starts great when Barney makes it clear that it was Jesus who created the 3 days rule. All that bro talk to describe the resurrection if it happened without waiting for 3 days was just too good.

Another fun thing was Ted's "naked lady sounds. Actually he sounded very much like Beavis and Butthead.

Well all that sexting was too great after I found out that it was Marshall and Barney doing it. Even though they tried to make it feel less like they want to have sex with Ted they had Stan, a guy with a very awesome voice (Kevin Michael Richardson) help them.

And I really laughed when Ted was going through conversation imagining all the things Holli was supposed to be doing and imagining Ted and Marshall instead (like the two reading architecture magazine in cheerleader uniforms).

And him do a payback by saying that he has gay dreams about his best friend was great. So cute how they both were hoping Ted was talking about him

Absolutely love Stan in this episode, his performance along with Barney and Marshall in the imagination scenes were priceless.

I like how Barney claimed that Jesus came up with the three day rule

A Return To Form

Thankfully a massive step up in quality from the last episode

Plot In A Paragraph: Ted has just met a woman named Holly at Maclarens and (as per Ted) he wants to call her right away, but Barney tells him he can't because of the "three day rule". Barney then proceeds to tell the gang the "True Story" of how it was Jesus that invented the "three day rule" at length. To shut Barney up, Ted promises that he'll follow the rule and not call her for three days. Ted finds what he thinks is a loophole: he'll text her instead. But the one text leads to a series of texts over the course of the day that makes Ted discover that Holly may be his perfect girl.

If there was a secondary plot to Thai episode, I can't remember it because the main plot was so funny.

A well done all round as "How I Met Your Mother" returns to form.
