Can You Imagine the Cost?
Hitchcoc1 February 2023
I recall this particular time. It was an epidemic around the country that groups of girls were having babies and forming sorts of "clubs." Having raised a couple of children with my wife, I can't imagine all of the implications of this. The money part would be bad enough, but their lack of experience and all the unknowns would be devastating. At some point some would want independence. No matter what they think of men, there are realities. This episode is absurd. We are getting to see how Brennan's ego is starting to work against her. She says things that are cruel to potential suspects. She brings science into everything. Anyway, this was a pretty far fetched moment about living in the moment!

Good man
mitchrmp28 July 2016
Booth is a good man.

When a teenage girl is found murdered, it's soon learned that not only was she pregnant, but so were several of her volleyball friends. It's discovered that one man, a very unlikely "stud" is found to be the father of several. As Booth and Brennan try to discover the truth, they learn some hard things about this pregnancy outbreak and Clinton.

We also meet the intern, the Muslum (sorry, I don't know how to spell his name). His story develops over the years and he becomes an important part of the show in later seasons (though I never really cared for that particular story line).

At the end, Booth does a "man up" speech that's very touching. I can picture him having such talks with his children when they do wrong. He has the right tone and facial expression to keep them on the straight and narrow. I think Brennan's very proud of him.

Moments Pass

Warning: Spoilers
First of all, guest star corner!

In this episode we have Monique Coleman who plays Taylor in the High School Musical Movies and Kayla Ewell who plays Vicki Donovan in The Vampire Diaries, so quite the teen crossover.

We also have Pej Vahdat - our lovely Arastoo Vaziri - who is the second guest star this season who also appears in Shameless, the first being Noel Fisher aka Booth's Ghost.

This episode is very Angela heavy which is lovely. It's quite bittersweet though, since she and Roxie, who is wearing a very bright blonde wig for some reason, break up. However, that does lead to a Hodgela moment so, can't really complain.

I enjoyed the back and forth between Cam and Brennan throughout the episode with the 'Bones vs Flesh' debate and it was nice to see Cam in her element instead of her just dealing with the blood and guts in the beginning and not having much else to do later on.

Arastoo is definitely one of my favourite interns in the show but, like most of them, his introduction leaves a little to be desired. Still, the way he attempts to comfort Angela after her breakup is really sweet and his little onomatopoeias always put a smile on my face.

Sweets and Angela undercover is so fun to see and we finally get Angela listening to and acknowledging Sweets' advice for once, yay!

Overall, love the case, love the intern of the week, love the episode.

IMDb vs Hulu
NancyPi31415 June 2022
Hulu has Yanks in the UK parts 1 and 2 as two separate episodes, where IMDb has it as one, this is why the episodes don't line up for season 4. This would have been a response to the "incorrect episode number" comment, but I'm unable to do so.
