The Funcooker (#3.14)

Warning: Spoilers
Liz is having a jury duty, but the Princess Leia outfit doesn't work so well in New York City. In the meantime the studio is out of control because Jenna can't stay awake because of workload, Tracy was offensive at the St Patrick's day parade and Jack gets the whole crew working on what to name his mini-microwave.

A pretty funny episode. Seeing Liz impersonating princess Leia was very funny once again only now it had a twist to it. Also her connection with the woman on trial was great.

Dr. Spaceman working on keeping Jenna awake was another funny moment, my favorite part is when he runs on stage and tries to make her sleep because he is worried she may die.

Co-written by Donald Glover

Warning: Spoilers
Before Donald Glover's career exploded in Community, he co-wrote this Community-esque episode of 30 Rock. The dark scene with Liz lighting the match at the end could have been the morbid inspiration for the final scene of the Inside No. 9 episode "Sardines" in 2014.

I especially loved Liz's attempts to escape jury duty! Carrie Fisher would be proud!

One of My Favorites!
g-bodyl2 December 2014
This is the fourteenth episode of the third season of 30 Rock and it is an absolute gem. All the subplots are excellent, and every single joke works. My favorite joke involves the use of Scrabble letters and that joke alone provided enough laughs to last a lifetime. The screenplay is great, and as always: the acting is excellent.

In this episode, "The Funcooker," Liz has to go to jury duty and she sympathizes with the defendant as they both suffer from the same work problems. Meanwhile, Jack has all the writers coming up with a name for the new pocket microwave. Jenna is prescribed these drugs which keeps her awake all night and day. Tracy is fined for cursing on live TV.

Overall, this is a beauty and one of 30 Rock's best episodes. I loved all the jokes and the spoofs, especially the one involving Liz as Princess Leia. This is one instant classic. I rate this episode 10/10.

The Funcooker is another hilariously great episode of "30 Rock"

Warning: Spoilers
In this episode, both Liz and Jack have a bad day. Liz when she has to go to jury duty leaving no one in charge of her show, Jack when he has trouble thinking of a non-offensive name (in any language) for a little microwave product he's trying to sell. Oh, and Jenna and Tracy incur the wrath of a St. Patrick's Day organizer when Jenna falls asleep-because of her taking on both her show and a movie-and Tracy calls her an obscene name during the parade's festivities as the event is airing which now has him taking a huge fine from the FCC as well. Oh, and wait till you find out what the episode's title refers to...The title part is definitely the funniest part of this episode. And welcome back Chris Parnell as Dr. Spaceman who gives Jenna a solution that has her acting more weird than ever! And after watching the network version, I went to Hulu to find out what dirty words Liz and Tracy said that had to be bleeped on NBC. Unfortunately, Hulu had them bleeped as well. As Liz would say, Blurg! Oh well, at least Liz thinks her worst day became her best when she found out the little microwave works in the shower...
