Does Miguel Prado Know Dexter's Identity?
g-bodyl23 October 2014
This is the sixth episode of the third season of Dexter and it's a reasonably good episode. I particularly liked this episode mainly because we see Dexter's friend, Miguel Prado become very interested in Dexter's "dark passenger" side, or we shall say what little he knows of it. It's actually a rather tense episode, more tension than I would expect.

In this episode, "Si se puede," Miguel Prado is very interested in Dexter's dark side, but Dexter wants to show him that what he does is not all fun and games. Even if Dexter is granted access to a man who fits his code. Meanwhile, The Skinner strikes again and Debra has reason to believe that the killer may be keeping an eye on her investigation. To sugarcoat things, Debra is now being threatened by Internal Affairs.

Overall, this is a rather interesting episode. It's not the best episode this season, but one that is starting to connect the dots. I really love how Prado is trying to intervene on Dexter's personal life. I wonder how long that will last. I rate this episode 9/10.

The First Good Friend
claudio_carvalho22 January 2011
Miguel Prado is very close to Dexter, fishing with him in his boat. Dexter thinks that he can support simple joys of male bonding. But when Miguel decides to step further, Dexter brings the file of a white racist killer to test how far Miguel would go in his intent. However, Miguel surprises him and plots a plan to capture the despicable assassin. Meanwhile, Freebo's watchman Wendell Owens is murdered by the Skinner. Debra notes that his two last victims, Wendell and Javier, where murdered after her questioning them and Dexter and she conclude that the unbalanced Ramon might be the Skinner. Maria meets the lawyer Ellen Wolf that uses Maria's inside information to self-promote and damage the career of Miguel Prado. Detective Barbara Gianna finally accepts to have dinner with Angel.

"Si se Puede" is a reasonable episode where Miguel directly involves himself in Dexter's murder. My initial guess about the identity of the Skinner was totally wrong, so I have changed my review. My vote is seven.

Short supply

Warning: Spoilers
1. Definitely some romantic undertones between Deb and Anton 2. Dex makes a friend 3. Angel lands a date

It's interesting that Dexter still hasn't completely abandoned Harry. His ideas and teachings still live within him as shown in his imaginary conversations even though he rejects him.

Miguel is an interesting character. I don't know how long he can handle Dexter not fully letting him in. He risked a lot to make this work and excluding him will hurt. Your friend can be your biggest enemy and that's where I presume the story will be lead to where Dexter would have to end up killing him.

Teamwork [8.8/10]

My Reaction / Review for Dexter Season 3 Episode 6 ''Si Se Puede'' (S3. E6): Episode 5 was awesome and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Curious to see what will happen now that Prado knows that Dex is a killer. It's actually nice that Dex has a friend. Dex is testing Prado. It sucks that Camilla is dying. Wow Prado actually wants to help Dex kill Galt, I didn't expect that. I don't believe that Ramon is the killer, Deb is probably wrong. Did Miguel go to the wrong place? I thought that him and Dex would kill Galt together. Dex doesn't want Miguel to watch his ritual killing. Overall a really good episode, my rating is 8.8/10.

Si se puede
skay_baltimore4 April 2014
Warning: Spoilers
So...right on cue...we have Harry, who couldn't handle the real Dexter, popping in to warn him about getting close to Miguel.

Fine. But where has Harry been this whole time when it came to warning him about Rita? Nowhere to be found. And that's NOT fine. And that's a big part of the problem with this series: inconsistency.

And a lot of double talk.

And that gets old.

And...yet again...we have another "key message" delivered via answering machine, just like the message delivered via answering machine from Lila which was overheard by Rita. And yet another sign of weak, lazy writing. The original luster/shock value of "Dexter" simply does not hold up under closer examination/closer viewing.

Especially after seeing the relationship between Dexter and Hannah. Everything after that pales by comparison, and makes watching earlier seasons frustrating.
