    Knuckles the Echidna : Why? I've been trying to destroy you since the moment we met.

    Sonic the Hedgehog : Because being a hero isn't about taking care of yourself. It's about taking responsibility for other people.

    Sonic the Hedgehog : Come on, Knucklehead, we're not beat yet.

    Knuckles the Echidna : On the mountain, you told me you lost everything, the way I did. But you seem so hopeful and free, how did you move forward despite failing again and again and again and again and again and again--?

    [a hot dog bun falls on Knuckles' face]

  • Knuckles the Echidna : I've spent my whole life questing for this. Now I have it. Now we have it. What can we do with it? What next?

    Miles "Tails" Prower : There were once two orders of heroes who protected the galaxy from those who used the Emerald for evil.

    Knuckles the Echidna : But they've all passed on to the great battleground in the sky.

    Sonic the Hedgehog : So we start a new order. The three of us.

    Knuckles the Echidna : This is no light task. We must make a vow, to use our powers to keep the universe safe, to watch out for each other, our new tribe.

    Miles "Tails" Prower : Oh, I know! A power bump!

    [holds up his fist] 

    Sonic the Hedgehog : Good idea!

    [puts his fist against Tails' fist while Knuckles looks confused] 

    Miles "Tails" Prower : It's an Earth custom. An unbreakable promise.

    Knuckles the Echidna : Very well. A power bump it is.

    [Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles put their fists against each other in the center] 

    Sonic the Hedgehog : Power Bump!

  • Knuckles the Echidna : Disloyal.

    Dr. Robotnik : 'Dis... is how I roll!

    [suddenly starts to floss] 

    Dr. Robotnik : If you don't know how to floss, you'll be lost without me!

    Knuckles the Echidna : [confused]  I understand nothing of what you just said.

  • Knuckles the Echidna : [about to crush Sonic with a boulder]  Say goodbye, hedgehog!

    [Sonic panics as he notices Robotnik getting his hands on the Master Emerald] 

    Sonic the Hedgehog : Knuckles, stop! Robotnik's stealing the Emerald!

    Knuckles the Echidna : What kind of fool do you take me for?

    Sonic the Hedgehog : Just look!

    [Knuckles does so] 

    Dr. Robotnik : Mine!

    Knuckles the Echidna : Wait! That wasn't the deal!

    Dr. Robotnik : [sarcastically]  Oh! You poor, naive creature. It's not your fault. A more advanced intellect would've seen this move coming a mile away... or one point six kilometres.

    Knuckles the Echidna : But I trusted you! You were my friend!

    Dr. Robotnik : [laughs maniacally]  I'm sorry, that just hit me funny. Let this be my final lesson to you, you dimwitted celestial skin tag. Friends are open, honest and vulnerable with each other, which means X square times the hypotenuse of Y square divided by the absolute value of friendship equals... DOOKIE!

    Sonic the Hedgehog : [looks on with dread]  Oh, no!

    [Robotnik lays his hands on the Master Emerald, blasting Sonic and Knuckles away] 

    Dr. Robotnik : Chaos... is... POWER!

    [Robotnik disappears with the Master Emerald, causing the whole temple to cave in] 

  • Knuckles the Echidna : I suggest the groin!

    Sonic the Hedgehog : What? No, no!

    Knuckles the Echidna : Conditionally, yes! The groin is the weakest spot!

    Sonic the Hedgehog : Stop... saying... "groin"!
