I registered for IMDb just to say this: Was never entertained by this, and I can't believe this is in the comedy section of IMDb. I'm sorry, but screaming and yelling random trash into the camera and then speeding and chipmunking your voice does not make for an internet sensation. Besides having the brain of an airheaded teenager, I see no reason for anyone to watch this without having their ears bleed. His videos themselves are terrible. Having cliché, bland jokes as well as irrelevant, overused high- pitched screaming, it makes me wonder why he has one of the most subscribed channels on Youtube. The videos lack a comedic effect on me, and to my understanding, he also lacks the talent that others such as Smosh and Nigahiga otherwise have. (Although I have to say Nigahiga's videos went downhill ever since he joined a production team). I just have to say it again. Fred does not deserve the internet fame he is receiving.
I will give some credit where it is due, Fred is not as bad as the movie Fred:The Movie, which for me is one of the worst movies ever made. But while it did start off pretty funny, it got repetitive and annoying very, very quickly.
Fred himself(played by an increasingly irritating Lucas Cruishank) is terribly annoying, he was alright to start with but once everything he said became stupider he became intolerable. It is not just the overdone facial expressions, it is also his voice which is little more than screaming and shouting, which has the appeal of fingernails on a black board.
What Fred says infuriates me too, it becomes very repetitive and a lot of it is reminiscent of angry ranting such as him saying horrible an irrelevant things about his mother, which for me is something nobody should say and also threatening to commit violent acts which is yet another thing that shouldn't be said. What's worse, it doesn't happen once, it has happened more times than I can remember, and none of it is funny. The camera work is also very dull and rushed, and the stories while decent at first quickly start running out of ideas.
All in all, better than the movie, but annoying, unfunny and lame. 2/10 Bethany Cox

No, it doesn't. This is the WORST show. If you can even call it that, on the internet. Don't worry, I am not that kind of guy who bashes on kids for making videos, usually they're actually as good as work done by adults, just maybe the voices are different. But not here. Once you watch just one of his videos you immediately hate Lucas, the infamous maker of "Fred", and plays as him. You don't care about his personal life or ANYTHING, all you want and need to do is tell him off. He got MOST subscribed on You Tube for months on end, and he does NOT deserve that badge. I wouldn't mind if he were an O.K actor but, he just... let me explain. A Fred video in a nutshell... "Blah blah blah blah blah O.M.G Judy ha i am so not funny blah blah blah pointless yelling wow look Kevin blah blah blah mom comes home and says something unfunny, blah blah blah, subscribe. To the person who just wasted your time and gave you partial deafness in your ears." All that and some high pitching easily done in audacity and having the original audio replaced and re- synced, there you have, the WORST videos on You Tube. And is is clear NO effort whatsoever, he just thinks of daily situations that no one really cares about and just acts all crazy. And annoying as well. And has that STUPID high pitched voice. I guarantee that you will regret watching any of his videos. And nobody I've ever met likes Fred. Word.

This is a series that is an insult to human creativity, one that could not conceivably be worse. There is pretty much no plot whatsoever, nor are there any attempts at creating remotely likable characters. Yet, I will not assign a star rating. This could have worked if anyone remotely talented worked on this, yet not a single shred of effort seems to have gone into this travesty.
This could be seen as a form of surreal humor, yet nothing on this show is even remotely funny. This could be a form of surreal art, but this show has nothing to say. Even the "be yourself" message here is shown to cause Fred nothing but misery. The clumsy attempts at teaching a lesson come off as preachy and ham handed. Even the most stupid, easily entertained kids will change the channel before long.
Overall, Fred is an obnoxious, irritating waste of time where gross out humor is the closest the show comes to being funny. It still falls short. Lacking the necessary qualities even for so bad its good, this show defies classification and is devoid of any remotely redeeming qualities, making this show utterly impossible to recommend on any level. A star rating at least implies that there was one thing that made the experience memorable, good or bad. Trying to rate this show would require that the show at least makes itself memorable, and the most pathetic part is that it falls short of even that.

I admit the first time I watched this series it was funny at first but then it started to feel bland and repetitive the second time round. I don't know how this series became among the top subscribed let alone the #1 subscribed on YouTube. If you want to find really good videos on YouTube don't always assume the top subscribed have the best videos because you'll soon realize that the number of subscribers someone has provides no indication whatsoever on how good their videos are especially when you look at this series, despite having the most subscribers it never was and never will be the best series on youtube and to be blunt some people with tons of subscribers might have crap videos whereas others with fewer subscribers may actually have far better videos, browse youtube and you'll see what I mean as you will probably come across much better videos from some users that aren't on the top subscribed. For over 1,000,000 subscribers this series really doesn't live up to the hype but yet it's viewers and subscribers continue to grow. It's understandable that people like this series but if this was made during the Golden Age of comedy it wouldn't have stood a chance as comedy is rarely as good as it used to be nowadays and even then most of the recent comedy is way funnier than this ever was. I used to regularly check back on this series to see if there's any improvement in the humour but sadly it falls flat and is only remotely funny because of the chipmunk voice which in itself is getting old too. This series is a disgrace to Monty Python and any other true comedy legends but to be fair it slides by. It was funny in it's own way but it pales in comparsion to *true comedy*. It used to make me laugh though, I'll admit but at least I can watch Monty Python sketches again and again and still laugh whereas this series is not in the least bit funny anymore :/ A lot of the hype if anything is mostly from fangirls who think Fred is cute and I don't even know where to begin on how retarded that is........ Though this series has probably opened doors for Lucas' career and I have to give him credit where it's due but it still doesn't make any sense why so many people stand in "awe" at this series and without doubt Hollywood is bound to cash in on this but then again some people in Hollywood are only to happy to cash in as long as they make lots of money from it whether it's good or crap. If you want to find one of the most overrated things in the world you've found it.
Overall an alright series but nothing special and proof that people need to look beyond what's in front of them to find better videos because youtube literally rubs our noses in videos from the top subscribed even if they aren't that great.

I stated on my Fred the Movie review that I'm not a fan of Lucas's. This isn't to say I'm a "hater" as extremist fanboys would call me and thousands of others. I too was a fan! I got into Fred in his early days, when he was still part of JKL with his cousins. When Fred had half a million to a little over a million views. That's how early, not a bandwagon jumper. I thought he was entertaining, and helped take up some spare time in my day. At some point though, he jumped the shark and became the plummet downhill.
It strikes me as odd how Fred's movie came out; after he became washed up and really a nobody, becoming shadowed by renown Youtube celebrities like Shane Dawson, and the immortal Smosh. Fred was alright, but his quality began to go downhill, and he stopped being funny. He was just the high pitched ADD kid who just wanted to annoy everyone. I'm giving Fred a 1, because I grew out of the immaturity and sold my funny bone to Satan.
If you want someone to laugh with (or at) just go watch Shane Dawson or Smosh, someone with talent.

I'm not sure why I bothered to look at this show and I'm not sure what appeals to all the others! It's absolutely the worst of YouTube with the incessant screaming. Absolutely nothing of value here. And he didn't deserve a movie either.

I saw Fred goes swimming and I laughed normally and I laughed only a little in a few other episodes, and in some I didn't laugh at all. Its about a boy who is paranoiac and tells about the days of his life in an annoying high-pitched voice. Lucas (Fred) guest started in iCarly and I have to say that the episode was funny, but I have seen people on youtube who are a thousand times funnier than him. Yeah, Fred is a good role model for kids, and he gives morals every now and then, but I don't see the reason of why people subscribe to him that often, since his jokes are not that good. I give my honest opinion, I'm no Fred hater, in fact I like Lucas. His character may be original, but his jokes are not good, if he wishes to impress more people, Lucas needs to be more imaginative when it comes to making the scripts. I understand that there are people with a sense of humor that might laugh really hard at the Fred episodes, this may be one reason to be a fan. To me the series of Fred is totally overrated.

I'm one of the very few people who are willing to admit I enjoyed Fred's first few episodes. I didn't love them, but I felt entertained. Then it felt like the show just got worse with time. I think there are three main reasons for this. One is the fact that it got way to monotonous. It kept on doing the same formula over a billion times. The fact is Fred's act gets annoying after a while. Reason number two is the fact that it became to kid friendly. When the Fred franchise got involved with Nickoldeon it lost a lot of dirty humor. They stopped focusing on stuff like Fred's alcoholic hoar mother, and tried to get more into Fred unpopularity with the other kids. This just made the show start to feel like I was watching one of those Disney Channel or Nick live action TV shows about teenagers in school. It got to a point where I felt like Miley Cirus was going to jump onto the screen, and start making my ears bleed. Third is how the show became a flat out cash cow. When the guy who made these videos realized he could make money off it he started George Lucasing it. He constantly advertised Fred products, and put in-show advertisements. I stayed with the show hoping that it would make a comeback, but eventually I had to click the unsubscribe button. I recommend the first few episodes, but other than that I can't recommend.
I admit when I first saw some of Fred's video I was laughing my butt off, but I think maybe after he guest-starred in iCarly he stopped being funny.
You guys already know this by now but Fred is just saying random things that aren't even really funny and speeding up his voice to make it sound like it is. There are so many better people on youtube out there, I can list three off the top of my head 1.Smosh 2.CommuinityChannel 3.ShaneDawsonTV
Go check out those guys and I think you'll agree with me. At least those guys don't have people pulling pranks on them like the Fred prank where everyone subscribes to him and then unsubscribes him. If you've paid a visit to his channel on June 1st only 5000 people unsubbed him. I thought since so many people disliked fred I thought he would at least loose his million. Darn hypocrites!

On YouTube, I've just recently checked out this comedy series and I loved it! The actor named Lucas plays such a goofy, yet fantastic role as a 6-year-old boy with an alcoholic mother and has an enemy, Kevin. Kevin is the boyfriend of Judy, who also hates Fred. the sad news is that a group of Fred haters (REAL ONES, NOT KEVIN) is plotting to destroy Fred. but, I won't let that happen. this is the best series of YouTube movies ever! there are many different episodes of Fred. my favorite one must be "Fred Gets Bullied" when he "ding-dong ditch" Kevin's house and then Kevin wants revenge. another good episode is "Fred Loses His Meds", about Fred losing his medications and then goes crazy because he can't find his medications. there's a small twist in the end. check it out. 10/10

OK so I finally got around to watching a couple Fred videos on YouTube. To be honest, I don't get what everyone's hating about. For heaven's sake, he's a kid! Consider that when watching his videos..!? He's barely a legal adult right now, to say nothing of how young he was when he started the Fred videos. And for a teen who didn't come from Hollywood or have a lot of formal training in the making of TV shows and films, he did a great job! I certainly did not hate him (as other reviewers said I would) after watching his videos.. I was actually impressed at his unique (off the wall) style and the fact that he does it all himself was even more impressive. Personally I wish this kid the best, and with all the experience he's getting out here in Hollywood, someday there may be another "Dan Schneider" who does screwball comedy and gains an audience and a half! Give the kid a break. He was out there doing something unusual and having fun with it. If his comedy isn't your thing, fine. Not everyone's going to like everything. But don't put him down for trying his hand at an industry he obviously has a knack for.

It's official Fred has sold himself out. Just like Annoying Orange.
Now this was good at first, In fact I enjoyed it and I loved watching it. But then he came out with Music Videos and I was like "okay, this isn't good." Then a movie.
"Oh awesome, this looks great!" and then I saw how bad the movie was, yeah the movie sucked so bad it was actually a WORSE love story that Twilight. Fred how bad can you actually get, you give us a good series for a few years and then you sell out and become laughable. Not because you're funny, but because of how stupid you were to even make a movie, or songs!
Fred, I am disappoint. 2/10

I'm wondering how the heck this show ever got popular if it has such a low rating. I mean I know it's not funny just how it got famous is way beyond me. On here all the stuff Lucas did got low ratings so how is he still famous if everybody already knows how much this stuff sucks? Whenever I hear his voice I feel sickened and just want to hurl because it just adds to how much I hate this show. It sucks so bad I feel that humanity is taking a turn for the worst if people really like this stuff. I know I say it a lot in my reviews but I really am hoping for an apocalypse if he continues to make any more Fred videos. I don't like this show so I gave it a 0 out of 10 because it's just that bad.

Every time I even think of watching this, my ears beg and plead. A good 60% precent of the show is played at over 100 decibels. Humor is for 9-year-old children, and the humor doesn't even connect nor make sense.
I'd rather eat mud than watch this.
