They're Here! - So Do We Have to Keep Them?

Insane in the P-Brane brings us a Global Dynamic scientist with a belief in ghosts, ghosts that are apparently infecting the town. On the personal drama front, the father of Lexie's twins arrives in town, and a friend of Allison's has arrived with both public and private agendas. On the plus-side, there is plenty of silliness and action, and the crisis solving works well enough. On the flip-side, Lexie's former paramour appears to be a good man (a World Health Org doctor) who has no idea that he is going to be a father and Lexie is as self-obsessed as she has been all season. It's a bad sign when the 17 year old former-delinquent is the reasonable and rational one in the aunt-niece relationship. This character has been in our midst long enough... We also have Tess, a very obvious candidate for new love interest for Jack. This one could go either way. She is predictably written and she just looks like an obstacle created to keep Jack and Allison apart. No need for that though, even with their solid friendship, their wonderful romantic chemistry has been somewhat muted due to both Allison's pregnancy and their professional clashing as of late. Overall the episode looked to be important to the next story arc of the season, even if the character introductions made everything feel a bit forced. Doctor Who we can keep a bit longer, Tess will need some behavioral modification in order to be a welcomed addition.
