Thomas : [the the f word is covered by the sound of a Mario coin that appears covering Thomas' face] What the f... everybody!
Patton : [rising up] Now, kiddo, if you're gonna dish out F's, why don't we make them friendly hugs?
Thomas : Aaah, F friends, Patton!
[Patton gasps loudly and dramatically]
Patton : [smiling again] Oh, wait, you're talking about friendly hugging your friends.
Thomas : NO!
[Patton gasps loudly and dramatically again]
Patton : [angry] Thomas, you should never!
[Patton stops abruptly, then more timidly]
Patton : I mean... I'm surprised that you would... say something like that about your friends. I always thought that, when it came to your pals, that sort of language would be... ineffable.
Thomas : [angry] Oh, it's very effable! It's effable as F! When the situation is... F**KED UP!
Patton : You're not at all... excited for them?
Roman : [rising up] With so much "F you's" thrown about, I doubt there's much he'd like to.. effuse about.

Roman : [to Thomas, about Deceit] We're ethically compromised if we give the Bananaconda a seat at the table!
[Thomas thinks for some time while dramatic music sounds. Then music stops]
Thomas : I don't know that we are.
Roman : We *can't* trust him! He's asking us to go back on things we've known for years! Rights and wrongs, shoulds and shouldn'ts! *How* can we trust him?
Deceit : [sighs, nervous] I don't have a simple answer to that question...
[Everybody looks at Deceit]
Deceit : [sighs again] But here's a start.
[Deceit starts taking his right yellow glove off]
Deceit : [sighs] My name...
[Everyone looks at Deceit in shock and expectation. Deceit sighs again, then rises his hand as if taking an oath]
Deceit : My name is Janus.
[Thomas looks at Janus, speechless. Patton shows a tiny smile. Then suddenly Roman can't hold laughter]
Roman : Pppffffttt! *Janice*?
[Janus lowers his hand, visibly offended and hurt]
Roman : [laughs] What are you, a middle-school librarian?
[laughs]
Roman : It's a stupid name.
Janus : [with a glance of anger and hurt, hints of tears are seen on his human eye] Oh, Roman, thank God you don't have a mustache!
[Roman's smile immediately drops]
Janus : Otherwise, between you and Remus, I wouldn't know who the evil twin is!
[Roman is speechless. He looks at Thomas, then at Patton. They look at him with a face of disappointment and Roman realizes in horror they're siding with Janus]
Roman : [horrified and in disbelief] Are you guys seriously going to take his side?
Thomas : [mumbling] No... I...
Roman : [puts his hand on his chest] Over me?
Patton : Well... he...
Roman : Thomas!
[Thomas looks at Roman, then Roman looks down for a moment, then he looks at Thomas right in the eye with a face of hurt an betrayal. He puts his hand on his chest again]
Roman : [slighty trembling voice] I thought I was your hero...
Thomas : Y... You are!
[Roman looks at Janus for confirmation. Janus looks at Roman in silence, then shows a sad face while he nods, as if saying Thomas is saying the truth. Roman instead seems to read that Thomas is lying]
Roman : [scoffs] Wow!
[Roman quickly puts his hand covering his mouth and nose, desperately trying to fight tears. Janus shows a face as if saying "oh, crap", realizing Roman misunderstood him]
Roman : I can't believe this!
[yelling]
Roman : Did you forget that he's *evil*? You're not!
[now in panic]
Roman : You're not supposed to be, you're supposed to be good! You can't!
Patton : [extending his hand towards Roman, even though he doesn't reach him] Roman!
[Roman looks at Patton with a face of anger and despair]
Patton : [calming voice] Everything's gonna be okay, kiddo.
[Roman keeps looking at Patton. He has the same face of anger, but now his eyes are slightly red, his lips tremble and he's on the verge of sobbing]
Patton : [same calming voice] We love you.
Roman : [looking away in disbelief, with a low voice] Right...
[Roman sinks down. Patton, Thomas and Janus look at the empty space. Patton closes his eyes, visibly hurt for Roman's pain, as if saying "oh, no" in silence]

Roman : [to Thomas, on the verge of crying] I thought I was your hero...

Roman : So, that rule trumps the other rule?
Thomas : [gasp] Roman!
Roman : [startled] Aye?
Patton : You know we don't like to use the T-Word in this house.
Roman : Oh, sorry... So, the rule about not hurting people... *overrules*
[Roman clicks his tongue. Thomas makes a gesture of approval]
Roman : ...the rule about saving people.
Patton : Yeah, that makes sense, right?
[Roman shrugs confused]
Patton : [at Thomas, squeaking] Aight?
Thomas : [confused, pointing at Patton as if saying "What do I know? You will know"] Wha-? I...?
